Cinnamon Rolls
About this Cook
I graduated from college last year and am taking one year to volunteer with a church in France. I took my passion to cook with me and am learning some of the French techniques while I am here!
My favorite things to cook
Definitely desserts! I love baking cookies, brownies, cakes, pies.... I also am passionate about bread and making them from scratch.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pancakes on Sunday mornings are on the top of the list. My Dad would put chocolate chips in them for me and my sister! I also love making recipes my grandma used for the holidays (especially her bluberry pie!)
My cooking triumphs
I was in charge of the family's christmas last year and it turned out pretty well! My dad helped with the turkey but I put all of the side dishes together and even made my own rolls. And of course the pies!
My cooking tragedies
Where to start? I learn from my my mistakes and I have learned a lot over the years! Recently I have burned a lot in our oven here since I am not used to it and there are no degrees labeled. Croutons and cookies have both gotten really burnt! I also did the math wrong on converting butter to grams in a recipe for shortbread and added too much. They were really flat and greasy!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake
Excellent! Mine didn't even crack. Tasted excellent. I made the supreme strawberry topping but kept a lot of the strawberries whole and put them on top with the points up then drizzled the sauce all over. So good!

Hot Crab Dip
So scrumptious! I also added artichoke hearts which were a nice addition.
