Best Butternut Squash Soup Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
My family really enjoyed this recipe and then I had maybe a cup left and took it to work to show off my culinary skills and they went crazy over it. I'll have to say that while cooking it I was skeptical and then once it was pureed it all came together. I did add the cream at the end as suggested by someone else. Great!! Thanks for the recipe.

Potato and Shiitake Mushroom Gratin

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
My husband Loves Potatos and we all love Mushrooms. This was great. I did not have the thyme and I didn't put the called for amount of rosemary (didn't have it) and it was awesome. This may even become a Thanksgiving and Christmas favorite.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
My family loved this recipe, the lemon juice added an extra taste to the glaze. This is an added favorite at our house. I also used oatmeal instead of the bread.

Beth's Tex Mex Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
I used this recipe for SuperBowl, it was great. It was gone before we even started eating. The only thing I changed, I added salsa to it. I meant to use jalepeno's as suggested but didn't have any. So I went with the chile peppers and it was good. Thanks Beth.

Roasted Okra

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
I have cooked our okra this way for years but I cut okra in bite sized pieces and add minced garlic to the olive oil and slather it all over and half way through cook time I stir. Very Good, my kids that would not normally eat okra love it!!

Mom's Oyster Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
My father in law has always made Oyster stew for my family on special occasions. This valentines I wanted to make something special and my 10 year old requested Papa's Oyster stew. This was the recipe I chose and it was a good one. Papa does not add the pepper but we did and enjoyed it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I read all of the reviews and decided this needed to be cooked for my family. And true to all of the reviews it was great. My boys asked why I had never cooked this before?! Well it will be cooked regularly from now on!! I did use ckn stock instead of the bouillon. We crumbled cornbread and poured the soup over to serve.

Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
I made this for the office, and everyone loved it. I also made the praline sauce found on this site to pour over each slice. Very good. I followed other recommendations and cooked it for longer.

Saltimbocca alla Pollo

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
We loved this recipe, although I guess I wouldn't be a good cook if I didn't change "SOMETHING". I added half & half to the sauce and I didn't have pruscutto so I used bacon. The family didn't know the difference. But we all loved the wine sauce and garlic!!

Wienerschnitzel

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
It was awesome!! I didn't have any veal and neither did the store so I used a little thin beef steak. It was soo good. My only mistake was that a few of the pieces were too big. They were still good. Just not as easy to cook.

Bubba's Jambalaya

I was a hit at my house last night! My husband and kids raved over this dish. The only change I made was added about 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of minced garlic. Wow! it was great, if I do say so myself. Thanks Bubba!

Sauteed Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
These are wonderful. I also added garlic as suggested. I used the cooked bacon that you buy and it only gives you a minimal amount of bacon grease and then added the butter. Every family member enjoyed them and I have some picky eaters.

Christmas Fruitcake

My family loved this recipe. We had planned to let it sit the customary week or longer but it didn't even last an hour. It was great but I would double or maybe triple it next time.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
I like most others did not expect to have a fully cooked, tender roast at the end of the 45 minutes. But I stand corrected. It was perfect and I did as another suggested and put the carrots, onions and potatoes in with the roast on the last 45 minutes. The recipe never said whether to cover the roast or not. But initially for the first time in the oven I did not cover but in the last 45 minutes I covered with aluminum foil and added a little beef broth to it. Perfect!

This was very good. I made it for my nephews graduation party. I didn't feel it was the Best Ever. But I would use this recipe until I find the BEST EVER.
