Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2004
This has become a regular dish at our house. It's delicious and so simple to put together! I took the advice of previous reviewers and left a bit of the Italian dressing in when adding the cream cheese mixture. Also, I don't shred the chicken. I prefer it served whole over egg noodles. Thank you for a GREAT recipe!

Garlic Butter Sauce I

Yummy! I added more garlic and cut down the spices to about 1/4 teaspoon each. Simple and tasty.

I didn't change a thing with this recipe and it was delicious. (And simple!) My husband and toddler son loved it. Thanks!

Pork Chop Packs

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2003
I added some additional seasonings but I still didn't have much luck with this recipe. The sweet potatoes didn't get tender after an hour even though I didn't open the foil during cooking. The pork itself was tasty but not very appealing to the eye. I will not make this dish again.

Goulash I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2003
I took some of the other reviewers' advice and added some spices, tomato paste and even some milk. Unfortunately, I still didn't find this dish to be very good. My toddler son didn't like it at all. I've never eaten Hamburger Helper but it seems like it would be tastier and easier than this recipe.

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2003
I didn't care for this recipe. The meat came out dry, the gravy was very salty and there was hardly any of it. I had better luck with the crockpot recipes on this site...my roasts have always come out tender with plenty of gravy.

Minute Tomato Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2003
I thoroughly enjoy this soup and make it often! I use the dry tortellini by Barilla which is inexpensive, tasty and doesn't expire quickly like the refrigerated kind. I have had better luck boiling the tortellini as directed on the package and then adding it to the soup when it's cooked. I also enjoy it with some fresh grated cheese on top. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2003
I've made this several times and my husband and I always enjoy it. Even my 18 month old loves it. (He makes lots of yummy noises!) I do skip the pineapple rings. The best part is the ingredients are usually on hand so it's easy to make in a pinch. Thanks, Judi!

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2003
This is the best stew recipe I've come across. I did need to add more than double the cornstarch. My husband and toddler son also enjoyed it. It's a keeper!

Best Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2003
Great recipe! Tasty and simple to prepare...good in a pinch since the ingredients are usually on hand. I made four servings instead of eight and did substitute 1/2 tsp garlic powder for the garlic salt. My husband and toddler son also enjoyed this dish. It's a keeper!

Chili Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2003
I really enjoyed these burritos. I made four burritos using the larger sized tortillas because that was what I had in the house. I ended up using a whole 10-ounce can of enchilada sauce and a whole bag of shredded cheese! Ack! I will definitely make these again although I'll try to control myself with the cheese and I may try adding some beans as another reviewer suggested. These are a GREAT comfort food!

Grandma's Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2003
I LOVED this recipe! I made it for family and they all asked for the recipe. I have made this several times and it's just wonderful. The only revision I made was that I left out the celery. Thank you!

Spinach Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2003
Not sure why this recipe had such good reviews. I added extra broth and cut down on the spinach like the other reviewers advised. I thought the soup had an awful texture and wasn't at all tasty.

Chickpea Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2003
Tasty. I also cut the vinegars in half and next time I might even cut it down to 1/4 cup combined as the other reviewer recommended. Very quick and inexpensive to make and yummy, too!

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2003
I love the flavor of these mashed potatoes HOWEVER they came out very thick and dense. I made the potatoes for company and it didn't go over very well. When I reheated them for leftovers I added milk and butter and they were much better.

Yogurt Chicken Curry

I don't know what I did wrong but like the other reviewer, my yogurt curdled and I had a mess on my hands. I ended up having to throw out everything.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2000
This recipe was really easy and really yummy! It was even better as leftovers...we chopped up the remaining chicken and put it in a big salad. I liked it better that way! I'll certainly make this again.
