Southern Living magazine's Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
The only thing I do different is I chop 1/2 onion, a red and green pepper and slice some mushrooms. Saute those and add on top of the sausage.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
Great soft cookie recipe! I change it a little by adding about 1 1/2 tablspoons of almond extract. I also skip the sugar topping and whip up some frosting with powdered sugar, butter, water and more almond extract.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
Tastes like Chicago! Takes me back to the Windy City whenever I make this. As other users, I increased the Italian dressing to two packages. Perfect topped with giardinira - the hot peppers mix that you find in the grocery store. Get a good hoagie roll, top with the beef, put some peppers on and pour on some juice or dip the sandwich in the juice. That's true Chicago style. Tastes like Mr. Beef. Roll up your sleeves and enjoy!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
Great flavor and easy to make. Only ingredient change I made was to add a can of creamed corn. One time I was short on time and didn't have time to wait for the potatoes to cook. After I sauted the onions and celery I put everything in a crock-pot (except the cheese) and cooking on low high for about 6 hours. I added the cheese during the last 20 minutes or so. Turned out great.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
There's no comparison between these and the frozen ones I used to buy. These are extremely tasty. The only changes I made: I had some corn on the cob I cooked on the grill, so I cut that off the cob and added it to the mixture. I also used a little more bread crumbs than 1/2 cup.
