No Bake Choco-Peanut-Oatmeal Cookies

I made a half batch. I've never had these before so I'm not sure what they're supposed to be like. I boiled my mixture for 2 1/2 min and they set up just fine. The problem was that these were way too sweet and the texture of the sugary coating was off-putting. I don't know that I'd change anything though. I think it's just how they're meant to be.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

This smelled great while baking but unfortunately 45 minutes was too long. I pulled it out and it was burned beyond edible. I double checked my oven temp and that wasn't even a problem. I would suggest checking at 30 minutes. 3 stars for a good scent.

Apple Brownies

I actually liked this one. I made a 1 1/2 batch to fit my 9x13 pan. I substituted 2/3 of the butter with some homemade apple butter I had on hand & used an extra large egg for my measurement. It tasted great! Mine's pretty sweet but very tasty. I cut my apples into 8 sections and then sliced each section. The pieces were the perfect size and it was done in 35-45 minutes like the recipe. This is a great base recipe!

Creamy Veggie Fondue

I'm actually surprised this one got such good reviews. I halved the recipe and I'm REALLY glad I did- less food to waste that way. The cayenne pepper completely took over the flavor of this. I used all organic ingredients. I couldn't eat more than a little of it- all I tasted was the burn of cayenne, no cheese, no other flavor. The people eating with me felt the same way. I would -not- recommend this recipe with the current proportions.

Nutty Quick Bread

Amazing! I used some skim milk with vinegar for the buttermilk, trail mix crunch for the grapenuts, half white and half wheat flour, and cane sugar then froze the loaves to eat later. They're delicious!

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

I usually make green beans my own way- not using a recipe. In honor of Thanksgiving I decided to give this a try instead. It wasn't terrible but it didn't amaze me either. Not a bad basic recipe but I won't be making it again.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

I kept the recipe as is but the end result was way too spicy for my tastes. I'm gonna give this another try without the cayenne- it was still pretty tasty once you get past its bite.

Not very good, I blended the cottage cheese but could still taste it. This was edible but I definately won't be making it again. Also, I suggest dropping the jello down to one package.

Au Gratin Potatoes

Perfectly easy. These didn't taste like traditional au gratin potatoes but for a side dish they were just fine. I left out the green pepper and will have to make this again. Great recipe!

Basic Cheesecake

I bought 2 10" graham cracker crusts & a bag of chocolate chips. I mixed the filling exactly as it said but divided up the chocolate chips between each crust before adding the filling. This was a hit!

Easy Key Lime Pie I

I used 2 cans of sweetened condened milk, a cup of key lime juice, & 4 egg yolks like the other reviewers said to do. It was good but also very strong, a bit too much lime I'd say.

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Everyone loved this. Even my bf tried it (he hates water chestnuts for some unknown reason). It was a hit. I only wish now that I had put it in the fridge before I crashed. -_-' It's way too good.
