Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
This recipe gets 5 stars because my entire family loved it - even those who had initally said that the name doesn't sound so good! Even the last 2 picky eaters. Definately better the next day. Not a true mexican dish (especially with canned tomato soup) but very good. I followed exactly except for the tomato soup - didn't add it because my enchilada sauce was a very large jar. Will be making this again!

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Outstanding! I made it without the anchovy paste (didn't have it on hand) and 1 T. honey. My kids asked for pizza with the new sauce 4 nights in a row!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I made this exactly as written except I baked at 325 (my oven is a little off). It came out perfect! Very chocolately and moist. I also topped it off with the chocolate ganache from this site as suggested by another viewer. Delightful!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
It was okay. Not at all what I was expecting. Kids didn't even like it. The marinade smelled really good, just didn't like how they tasted. Won't make this again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
It was okay. I thought it was very bland and I followed the recipe exactly. However, my really picky kids loved it and are eating leftovers for lunch. If I make it again, I'd definately follow some of the other suggestions (I don't like to rate it if it isn't made exactly..) to perk up the flavor. Nice base though.

Crispy Cucumbers and Tomatoes in Dill Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
Absolutely fabulous! It is a little watery at the bottom, but that is all the flavor. Made it exactly as written except for olive oil instead. So so good!

Spicy Beef Curry Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
WOW! This was really good. If you are looking for a true curry recipe, look elsewhere. This is a wonderful twist on a classic beef stew. I didn't use jalepeno pepper but green chilis (kids don't like alot of spice). I also used a roast and then shredded at the end. My 9 year old was picking the meat out of the crockpot! Excellent over rice. Will make again on a nice cold day.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
good, not great. kids enjoyed it and will make again. cut salt to at the most 1 tsp. and double water to cut back on salty taste - 1 boullion usually goes with 1 cup water. 1 tsp. pepper may be too much for younger kids. watch cooking time too. 45 minutes too long
