Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
I made this last night for the first time and my family insisted I make it again tonight. I used a vanilla sauce recipe from this site also. It was better than our favorite restaurant bread pudding and, also, better than my mother-in-law's (God rest her soul). I have a feeling I'll be making this for a very long time and often...Thanks!

Bottom Round Roast with Onion Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This is the first roast that I cooked on top of the stove in a pot and it came out great. The gravy was excellent. I did use wine, rosemary, and thyme with it. I will cut the cooking time down a little next time. Hubby really liked the whole meal. Served with fresh steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. This is a keeper!

Honey Ribs

Wow, what a terrific recipe. Served with lemon-peppered fresh green beans and fresh yellow squash and onions. Even, gave the recipe to a friend. My daughter said they were better than the ones they eat at Boush Gardens. (Must be good, huh?)

Cindy's Tasty Wings

I made these a while back and everyone raved about them. Should have made more that time. I'm going to try these tomorrow but am using frying chicken legs this time. Also, will marinate them after putting all ingredients in a plastic bag for a couple of hrs. before I bake them.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
This was sooooo good! I did rub the roast with seasonings and a little flour before I browned on both sides. I also used 1 cup beef broth and 1/2 cup of water. I made a little gravy out of pan drippings and added at last minute to thicken. Will definitely be cooking this one a lot. Thanks.

Different Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
This is very, very good. I left out the wine, added 1cup regular milk to the soup and sour cream, sprinkled the dry dressing mix over the top, put pats of butter on top and drizzeled a little water on top. I also seared the seasoned chicken breasts in a frying pan to brown them a little before going into the oven. The chicken breasts were big so I had to cook the dish for about 1 hour. My husband loved it and I will be making this a lot more. Thanks.

Bacon Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
My husband and I really liked this dish. I only cooked 3 brests, used chicken seasoning salt and ground pepper. I used about 1/2 cup of honey mustard barbecue sauce and 1/2 cup of honey barbecue sauce. I also like my bacon crispy so I fried 6/7 slices first. I also put a couple slices of onion on top of the brests first, then the sauce, then the crispy bacon (which stayed crispy) and cooked as instructed. I served it with corn and some candied carrots. Will definitely make again.

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
I rated 4 stars because I added a little garlic powder and crushed parsley to the mayo and cheese mix. I cooked in a glass baking dish. Next time I will take the advice and cook on a rack over a cookie sheet. It was really good and my hubby liked it too. He says it's a keeper!!!

Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
This was very tasty, however, it does not reheat very well. Very thick sauce next day for me. Plus using cream cheese made it heavier than I liked. Next time, I might try whipped cream or not use as much cream cheese. Other members of family liked it, though.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
This was a good recipe. Everyone liked it. Make sure you season the pork chops well while you are frying them and, I think I will put the chops back in the pan to simmer in the sauce as it was hard to keep them hot. Very nice. Thanks.
