Pineapple Chicken Delight

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
I made this tonight and it was a big hit! so easy and very tasty, served with rice, peas and corn. I added brown sugar soy sauce and worch. sauce to the pineapple juice (used to cans) to give it an Asian flare, than drizzled barbecue sauce and a hot and zesty marinating sauce over the chicken! it was so yummy! Kids loved it! :) Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Garlic Roasted Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Very easy, and delicious! I pretty much followed the recipe to the letter, I melted 2 tablespoons of margarine, added 8 chicken thighs, added potatoes, carrots, chopped up onion, 2 tbsp of jarred garlic, popped it in the oven, and stirred it a couple of times, flipping over the chicken, very yummy! my 8 year old picky eater loved it, actually I made him some mashed potatoes cause that's the only way he'll eat cook potatoes unless they are french fries! He loved the chicken! will keep this recipe handy for our weekly rotation! :) thank you for an awesome recipe......

Pork Tenderloin with Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
This was awesome! I followed the recipe closely, with a couple of minor changes, I used red wine vinegar instead of balsamic, added a splash of soy sauce, and about a 1/4 cup of chicken broth. I browned the strip of tenderloin then added onion and stirred until the onion was caramelized then added the gravy sauce to the frying pan, and added thinly sliced carrots and chopped broccoli, the gravy thickened up nicely! We had this over fetticini, it was delicious! My 11 year old son loved this! My picky 7 year old ate most of his, this will be added to my recipe box! Very tasty, quick and easy!!

The Humble Shepherd

Great recipe! I improvised a little, just cause I didn't have all the ingredients. I used 1 packet of gravy mix, and about 2 cups of low salt chicken broth instead of water, I used frozen long green beans and through in about a 1/2 c. of mixed veggies (frozen), I also through in a teaspoon of minced garlic, basil, and some worchesire sauce, through the meat and veggie and gravy mixture into a casserole dish and topped it with a generous amount of grated cheddar on top of the mashed the potatoes........yummy! my little boys loved it, even my youngest son that is quite picky, both had 2 helpings! Thanks for a great recipe!

Pork Tenderloin Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
Nice and easy, a little bland, but that's probably because I left out some key ingredients, such as the sugar, vinegar, mushrooms and sour cream, due to my 7 year old son being rather fussy. I mashed potatoes and served the pork, veggies, and gravy over them (I loved the creamy gravy this made)! For veggies, I only had carrots, a tiny bit of onion, orange peppers, and towards the end I sprinkled in some frozen carrots and peas, the peas were great! I will make this again, and add some other veggies. p.s. I only had basil and not tarragon. Thank you for a great recipe!

Pineapple Grilled Pork Chops

This was a great sauce for chicken, I didn't have any pork chops just chicken breasts...so I pan fried the chicken in a little oil. Then poured the sauce over the chicken pieces and popped the pan in the oven for about 45 minutes, delicious!! served with white rice and corn kernels....The kids loved this dinner, very yummy.....

Steff's Shepherd Pie

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
great recipe! I had to omit a few important ingredients though due to having a very fussy 6 year old...I left out the onion, but added 1/2 a package of onion soup mix, left out the green beans, but added frozen corn. Instead of the mushroom soup, I added a cup of beef broth and some worchesire sauce. My son loved it with the cheesy mashed potatoes melted on top!, to me it was quite bland but that was o.k. I just added some salt to my dish and a little bit of Kechup! Usually I would add little cubes of cut up carrot, I will add them next time....nice, easy home cooked meal, and very filling.

Bandito Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
Awesome! The kids loved these....even my 6 year old son who doesn't like anything spicy. surprisingly I had all the ingredients, even the taco sauce, I even squeezed the last little bit of french dressing out of the bottle! I used a lot of tabasco sauce, at least a tsp. It still could have been hotter! but I had to keep the 6 year old in mind. I did make an additional batch of just barbequed wings to have with these hot wings, in case he didn't want the hot wings...(he enjoyed both) I baked the wings in the oven first at 375 for 20 mins. And only used about a tbsp. of margarine in the sauce, it was still very tasty! This recipe is a keeper! My oldest son, said it tasted like we had ordered it from a restaurant! I served it with rice and corn, yummy! Thanks for sharing!

Zesty Beef Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
The horseradish was a bit strange tasting for my taste buds, and way too much onion, the gravy was like onion, horseradish gravy! I chopped up about a little more than a medium onion. My sons, loved this, they both had seconds! My six year old ate all his pieces of beef, so that's always a good sign...next time I'll use less horseradish and onion, also the beef was a little on the dry side. I will keep this recipe, but just use less onion and horseradish.

Oh ya, and grilled on the Foreman grill, no fat dripping at all! Yay!! Thanks for the great recipe! it's a keeper!!

Chicken Meatballs and Spaghetti

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
first of all, I just want to say sorry that I somewhat changed the recipe because I didn't have enough ground chicken breast to make meatballs, and I had originally set out to make spaghetti and meat sauce. I followed the recipe ingredients for the sauce, first frying the chicken, then adding tomatoes and tomato paste and water. added spices, some celery salt and garlic powder, oregano and basil, pretty much the same as I make my own sauce but also added 1 tablespoon of vinegar and a little brown sugar to cut the strong tomato flavour a little. Let it simmer and dinner was ready within an hour! My sons loved it, even my picky 5 year old!! Now that I have found this recipe, (added to my favorites) I will make the chicken meatballs next time...they sound really yummy!

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
This was very tasty, healthy and easy, it was similar to my mom's stir fry! (she is an incredible cook) I added a bit of brown sugar and worcestersire sauce to the marinate as suggested. I used broccoli, carrots, and green peppers (unfortunately I didn't have any onions on hand). I also sprinkled a little bit of sesame oil to the veggies while stir frying. We enjoyed this stir fry over steaming hot rice.....yummy!
