Chorizo and Lentil Stew

Wow! I'm usually pretty stingy with my stars but I would give this one a 6 if I could. So easy and SO tasty. I modified a bit by adding a thawed, drained package of frozen spinach to "up" the nutrient value and squeeze in some greens. It tasted terrific! This recipe is going in my regular rotation - thank you!

Passion Bars

This was delicious. I added one full cup (and then some)of peanut butter to the evaporated milk to cut down on the sweetness a bit. It turned out really well. I can hardly wait to serve it to guests!

Stuffed Peppers

These peppers were really great - even better than my mom's! I used ground sausage (sage flavour) in place of the beef and skipped the worcestershire sauce. I cooked them covered in a dutch oven and there was no need to worry about basting. The flavor was really amazing. I will be making again and again!

Carrot and Ginger Soup

I just finished making this soup and am so impressed with quality and the flavors. I used chicken broth instead of water which made it more savoury. I will definitely be making this again!

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing

This recipe turned out really well. I didn't have red wine vinegar so used Seasoned Rice vinegar instead. Also, I just used some leftover onion buns for the croutons. I took it over to a potluck and got rave reviews. I would definitely make this again!

Cheesy Creamed Spinach Casserole

I have made this dish several times and it was received with great enthusiasm by my husband. We are both always looking for different ways to eat our greens so this dish has become popular in our household. I substitute the onion soup mix with vegetable soup mix instead (the flavour is more mellow that way and goes better with other foods.) Tonight, I added leftover chicken and my husband went wild. This dish is a great starting point for adding leftovers or getting creative. Have fun with it!!!!

Coffeebar Chai

I made this chai for dinner guests after a spicy meal and it received raves. It's easy to make and tastes even better than the chai you can get at a coffee shop. A definite winner!
