Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I had never made corned beef before, this was a very simple and easy recipe that everyone liked. I used a 4 lb point cut roast and I added wedges of cabbage, red pot. and carrots during the last hour of cooking in the oven. used a bottle and 1/2 of octoberfest beer and added flour and water to the drippings for a gravy that everyone felt 50/50 on liking. a great St. patty's day experience.

Pumpkin Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
very good right out of the oven! however, not five stars b/c I had to add an extra teaspoon of spices after I tasted the first batch. Covered with a buttercream frosting with a bit of cinnamon mixed in. Used the "sugar cookies with buttercream frosting" recipe and omitted the butter extract

very good! I used low sodium soup as suggested by others. I didnt have any cajun seasoning so I used Cayean pepper (about 1/2 as much) They were very spicy (will prob just use a pinch of red pepper next time) but my boyfriend and i cleaned our plates!

Very good basic recipe. Soaked the beef in water before using as another reviewer suggested and it was just right; not too salty.
