About this Cook
Life is good. I love being retired, and now my focus has turned to dog sitting. Dogs are marvelous creatures, and I adore them. Cooking has lately been put on the back burner, as I am not as into it as I used to be.
My favorite things to cook
Muffins are my favorite thing to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Apple pie has always been my families favorite, however I am trying to eat lighter and rarely make this treat anymore.
My cooking triumphs
Turkey on the BBQ, in a disposable roasting pan, has been a recent success. And beer butt chicken, also on the BBQ.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup
This is the first time I've made a creamed turkey soup, and it is delicious. I had no chicken bouillon granules, so used a bit more salt instead. I'll be cooking another turkey soon just so I can make this.

Pretty good, make sure you crush the Stove Top Stuffing.

Fish and Chips
Perfect, no spices needed. Just add tartar sauce, french fries and a salad.
