Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
I loved this soup! The only change I made was to use vegan sausage and bacon, other than that I left the recipe alone. And it was delicious! I say, just try it once and you'll love it!

Mystery Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2008
I love this cake recipe! My daughter has asked for this cake every birthday since she was 4, she also loves helping make it. I use canned beets that I then puree and applesauce replaces the oil, we also throw in a bag of mini semi sweet chocolate chips. Its so good we don't even add any icing. You won't really be able to test this cake with a toothpick, it is so moist. It is a favorite amongst my kids and my coworkers and I don't feel guilty eating this cake either.

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
This reminded me of the coconut rice from the Thia resteraunt I used to go to, it is delicious! Try it with a mango thinly sliced on top after the rice has cooled down. You will love it! The sweet and sour balance each other out and it makes a great dish to serve on a hot summer day.

Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I tried this at Olive Garden and fell in love with it! I wanted to be able to make the same thing at home for a fraction of the price and found this recipe here. It is perfectly delicious! I didn't want all the fat of heavy whipping cream so I opted for a substitute of half and half. Maybe next time I will try whole milk or something similiar to cut back on the fat b/c you can't eat just one bowl of this soup! I also serve it with light garlic bread b/c my hubby likes to have a biut of a "filler" with it. So, I hope you enjoy this wonderfully simple soup!

Chocolate Chip Cookies for Special Diets

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Here is a little hint to make these cookies as much like "regular cookies" as possible, for every 1c sugar substitute, add 1/2c dry milk and 1/2t baking soda. Just check cookies 3-5 mins. prior to original recipes bake time. You can use this for any cookie recipe, just trade out sugar for substitute and extra needed items. Works everytime! Enjoy!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I love this soup! I tried it at Olive Garden and just HAD to learn how to make it myself. I don't eat pork, so I used turkey sausage instead and I omitted the bacon. I also cut the amount of cream in half, but it was just as I remembered. I also made garlic bread and a salad to go with it. I highly recommend this recipe!

Cheeseburger Soup III

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
We call this Spicy Cheeseburger soup and love it! It is great when the weather is cold and wet and really helps to warm you up. I would recommend this soup to everyone. Also, I usually crumble a few pieces of bacon on top to give it a bit more of a smoky flavor and my husbnad loves it. I use the low fat velveeta cheese and it makes the soup rich and creamy without all the added calories. So, if you want to try something different but awesome, then this is the soup for you. One more thing, you can increase or decrease the heat by adding or subtracting anywhere from 1/4t to 1t of cayenne pepper. I hope this helps, enjoy!

No Bake Cookies V

I did exactly as the recipe said and they came out soft and didn't stick together very well. They still tasted good, that is why I give it 3 stars.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2006
This banana muffin mix is delicious! I wanted to make them with less fat, so I replaced the butter with applesauce. They were so moist and inviting, my husband ate half my batch before they had cooled. They are just as good the next day and a great way to start the day. Thnx!

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
The first few bites were great, but then it started to get a little bitter. I also added some salt to help with the flavor. Not my favorite, but it was okay.

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
This was a good recipe, but I added about 3 cloves of minced garlic to the marinade because we love the flavoring it adds. You can taste the ale even after it is grilled, which adds to the flavor. I served this up with pasta salad and garlic bread. Yummy!

Pasta Chicken and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
The meal was pretty good, although the sun dried tomatoes were not quite my cup of tea. I think next time I will try and use a little bit of fresh tomatoes instead. Overall it was pretty good.

This was deliciously spicy and has a strong heat that makes you want to eat more! I loved the fact that the spice was mellowed by the creaminess of the milf and half n half. What a kicker! Thnx!
