Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Very buttery and sugary. Good, but I guess I was hoping for more of a traditional donut taste and feel.

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Delicious easy recipe. Based on other reviews, I sauteed celery and onions (along with some carrots) in 2 T butter, then added the other ingredients. I used 2 cups water, 2 bouillon cubes because I don't like my soup too thick. For sure double if you want leftovers. Very easy and quick. Served with garlic cheese biscuits.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Excellent cookie! Followed suggestions and used half butter, half shortening. Also, half sugar and half brown sugar. I also subbed in cake flour for the all purpose and they were very light and well shaped. Thanks for sharing!

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This makes a nice light, tasty salad. Very quick to pull together. Based on other reviews I did reduce the poppy seeds to 1 T. and the sugar to 1/4 C. I also sprinkled in some dried minced onion (maybe a half T.) into the dressing rather than the fresh onions (make sure you allow time for the onions to soften though if you do this)and added blue cheese crumbles and slivered almonds. Went over well at the party. Will for sure make again.

Crab Delights

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This was a quick, easy recipe. We had it for a New Year's Day brunch. I substituted 1 T. dried parsley for the fresh (all I had on hand) and it turned out fine. No issues at all with mixing up the topping the night before either.
