Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
This is definitely a five star. The only change I made was adding 4T of flour instead of 5T and I didn't add the additional salt. I don't like my soups to be very thick. I know the recipe says '8' servings but it was barely enough for 4. Next time I will double it so we have plenty of leftovers. Thanks for sharing such a delicious recipe.

Special Pork Tenderloin

This was an exceptional meal. Full of flavor. I followed the recipe as is except I used what applesauce I already had and it was sweetened instead of unsweetened.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
My husband made this for dinner today and this is what I would consider a 'hearty soup'. As others suggested, he added more barley. He also added kielbasa and 16oz of water with 2 t of beef soup base.

Beer Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Made as directed. Once it was finished I couldn't taste the beer. I will certainly try this again but I will add the beer at the end, use chicken stock/broth instead of the cubes and less veggies.

Beef and Noodles in Crockpot

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I made this recipe with 1.5 pounds of beef. At first, I thought it was a little too salty so I added some fresh mushrooms and a little bit of water. Served over egg noodles and it was perfect. made this recipe again,11-16-10, I used 4 large pork chops instead of the beef stew and again, it was excellent!

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
Made this on Saturday for my daughter's graduation party on Sunday. Outstanding. It was a hit with all of the polish relatives and even the non-polish! The night we made it I decided to add some spaetzels. I sampled it and thought it was OK. The next day, we warmed it and tried it again....it was excellent! I doubled the recipe, used 1lb of bacon and added the spaetzels.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This is a fantastic recipe and was a hit with the family. I trippled the recipe and I took one reviewers advice and added some beef broth along with the chicken broth. Instead of using orzo, I used acini di pepe but I added too much. Next time I will use 1c of the acini di pepe (if I triple the amount of soup made). Great recipe.

this was a hit for superbowl Sunday. I added the cilantro instead of oregano. No onions and I added a dash of sea salt. Excellent!

Apple Pecan Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
I was going to give this desert a 4 but then the guilt set in. It does taste delicious but I agree with several other reviewers that it's a little too dry. I will make it again this weekend for a clam bake. I may try cooking it at 350 degrees for a shorter time. Don't let my comments stoop you from making this because it really is a delicious desert.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
This was a cinch to make and turned out delicious. I used seasoned stuffing croutons and I crushed them with a rolling pin. I baked them on a Pampered Chef baking stone. The key, is making sure your oven is preheated and the butter is hot before placing chops in the pan. They did not stick nor were they soggy. I think the times listed were right on. This was a great alternative to pork chops oon the grill. Thanks Rachel

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
As suggested, I added 1 can of beef broth and more potatoes. Other than that, I followed the recipe as written. It was certainly a hit. I put it together by 8:30 AM and it cooked on low until 5:00. We spent Labor Day at the Cleveland Air Show and came home to a delicious meal. Also made Yorkshire Pudding, as reccomended by another reviewer, which was also a hit.

Creamy Chicken and Rice Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
This was fabulous. I read the review from Heidi's sister-in-law and there were a few errors in her ingredients. SHe said to use only 1/2 cup of rice not 2 cups.I did alter the ingredients somewhat to make enough for leftovers. I certainly will make this again.

Puppy Chow II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
My daughter had Puppy Chow at a band party last year and loved it. She had no idea what the ingredients were. Needless to say, I was so pleased to find that All Recipes had a selection of Puppy Chow recipes to choose from. Now it's my turn to host the Band Party and I followed Stephanie's recipe. My daughter said it looks the same but isn't quite sweet enough. After reading the reviews of other Puppy Chow recipes, next time I will add less peanut butter and mix semi-sweet & milk chocolate morsels and more powdered sugar. I liked another reviewers idea adding M&Ms and pretzel pieces to the mix. Thanks,Stephanie, for sharing.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Made this for dinner yesterday. I let marinate for 6 hours which I thought was plenty. Very flavorful. I too used regular sliced bacon and I cut each strip in half. I wouldn't make any other changes.

Nanny's Goulash

I have never had goulash before so I didn't quite know what to expect. My husband, on the other hand, has had it before. I made this recipe last night and it was OK but my husband said it didn't taste like goulash to him but he still liked it.

Tuscan Soup

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
After eating Tuscana soup from Olive Garden, I made it the following day. I used a little more chicken broth because I prefer more liquid, I also used 1 can of canned evaporated milk, fresh sausage sweet and spicy about 1 3/4 lbs. total and I used kale instead of spinach. What a hit.
