Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Apples and Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
This soup is absolutely delicious. I've made it twice pretty much exactly as the recipe describes. My only addition was walnuts as a extra garnish that I think provides some nice crunch and flavor.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
I have made this twice now and really enjoyed it both times. Although time consuming, its very straight forward and hard to mess up. I recently made this for a group and decided to make a vegetarian version along with it. I substituted about 2 cups of mushrooms and 1 cup of bell peppers for the sausage and beef. I never thought I would say this, but I actually ended up liking it better.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
This is a great salad that my godmother has been making for years. I suggest making the dressing ahead of time and let is sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. It will thicken the dressing and really improve the salad.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2006
This soup is easy to make and healthy. I would consider adding tomato soup or tomato sauce to thicken it a little. This would be a great soup to serve before the main course.

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
In stead of using a bag of frozen vegetables, I find its best to add pearl onions, carrots, celery, peas (frozen is fine), and mushrooms. I also added some garlic salt and some fresh parsley
