Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
Needed a lot of salt and pepper to make this soup very tasty. Mine turned out peach color as well and I had used more then 2 tomatoes. I'm new at making soup so I had some flour lumps in it. Need more practice at this. Otherwise tasty soup and would make again.

Love this pie, made it for the first time a few days ago. First pumpkin pie I have ever made. Tastes great, my 5 and 2 year old children love it!

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
Had a great taste but disappointed that all my onions were still hard. I followed the cooking times exact so not sure why they came out hard still. I didn't add the lemon juice and used dry parsley. Maybe I'll add more sour cream next time to make it a bit thicker.

Potato and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
Awesome! Just the way my MIL makes it. I'm so happy I found this recipe. I made it last night and I have over half left. Turned out awesome. Takes very long to make but worth it. I did the recipe exact but peeled and slice the potatoes b4 hand and added them to the water b4 it boiled so they weren't hard. Also, added small pieces of cooked polish sausage to it. I think my MIL always added Hungarian sausage. Love! My husband said it tasted just like his mom's.

Bacon Ranch Pea Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
This was very good. I decided to add pasta to this dish to make it more substantial. I added mini bow-tie pasta. I then added a bit extra of the ranch dressing, cheese, onion and bacon. Turned out great, thank you.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
It was good but tasted more like pot roast. I live in a suburb of Chicago and this is not like a Chicago Italian beef sandwich. It shouldn't be shredded but sliced. Only thing I did different was brown the meat in oil on all sides before adding it to the crock pot.

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
I didn't care for this recipe. The only changes I made was I used tomatoes instead of peppers, green onions and colby jack cheese. After cooking for 20 min at 400, it took 90 min more to cook! Not 30 like the recipe says. And the nutmeg gave it a horrible taste.

Famous Butter Chicken

Awesome!! Loved it, my picky kids even ate it. I never knew that buttery crackers with chicken can taste so awesome. I did a half stick of butter and added a little oil in the pan. Very moist.

Bacon Cheese Frittata

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Was okay, I think I like quiches better. Only differences I made were yellow onions and I used a pie pan (9inch glass).

Quick Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
Love this recipe! I think you can use any cheese and any veggies inside and it will be fantastic. I used cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato and onion. Next time I would like to add mushroom. YUM, we all loved it.

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I thought this soup had a great buttery taste to it. I didn't do the puree part since I love potato pieces in soups. I found it to be a bit gritty though, maybe because I didn't puree it? Also didn't have sharp so just used mild cheddar cheese. And didn't add the cayenne pepper since serving it to a 4 and 1 year old.

Corn and Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Very easy to make. Had in the fridge all day, so at dinner time I didn't enjoy it very much. Tasted like all balsamic vinegar. But the next day at lunch, my 1 year old and myself enjoyed it very much. My husband enjoyed it as well. Makes so much!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
Best Carrot Cake I ever had. I made it for Easter and brought to my in-laws brunch and my parent's dinner. Both families loved it, even the people who normally don't like carrot cake. Only thing I couldn't do was cool it on a wire rack since I don't have. And I think I should have turned it out onto my serving plates because the middle caved in. Still tasted the best and the icing was to die for. YUM

Taco Pie

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
My husband actually complimented me on this dish. I did like it too but thought it was a little dry. Maybe could've added even more sour cream. I loved the crescent roll crust. I did spray the bottom with pam. No problem getting it out of the pan.

Lemon Delight

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
Loved it! Made it for Mother's Day and it was a huge hit. Made it in a glass 9 x 13 pan and only 2 pieces left. Some people went for seconds. Very refreshing, nice to know there are 2 cans of fruit in a cake. Would be nice at a hot picnic too. Will make again. Thanks

Easy Salsa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2006
I thought it was good and smelled awesome cooking. I did everyone the same. The only problem I had was it wouldn't cook, I probably cooked it for a half hour more. I think next time I would cook it at 375 instead of 350. It just was so pink and mushy. It got really frustrating since my sides were already done.

Chicken or Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
I enjoyed the recipe. I thought there was so much leftover though so I don't know if I used the right amount of noodles. My husband liked it, not loved.I used garlic powder since I didn't have real. I also never heard of or saw shredded american cheese so I used mild chedder instead. And used parmesean cheese on top instead of the parsley. Also didn't use the peppers.
