When I became pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago, I knew it was time to mend my mac-and-cheese-from-the-box-and-frozen-pizza-ways! I am currently a waitress at a bistro downtown, designer and creator at Lollibomb Designs jewelry, and a full-time student working toward my Masters Degree. I am a wife to be (for the second and LAST time around), engaged to the most wonderful partner I could've ever dreamed up. Between us we have two children and a fierce passion for FOOD! I am continually finding out all kinds of new techniques for preparing some of the foods that I grew up with, As well as working with new and quirky noshes I've never encountered! I am continually amazed at the plethora of new grains, vegetables, and fruits out there to play with. We must find it in ourselves to be brave and bold in the kitchen. Spatula to the sky!

My name is Lindsey, and I am a cheese-o-holic. I love cooking dinner from scratch. There is something very rewarding about taking raw food and turning it into a tasty way to end the day. My cooking triumphs
For me, victory is creating a meal in my head, bringing it to life, and having it actually work! In our house we do a thumbs up or thumbs down vote as to whether a recipe will ever be seen again. Those thumbs ups make you feel really great. Posting my first recipe entirely of my own creation on this site felt pretty great too!
My cooking tragedies
While I don't exagerrate when I say I've had MANY tradgedies in learning (definately not a natural), I'd have to say that sauces are particularly difficult for me. I usually find a way to burn them!
