Cinnamon Swirl Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
Yummy, soft, perfect cinnamon bread... and easy too! I love this recipe and will be making it again soon. I followed it exactly, just had to let it rise in the pan an extra hour longer (my house was a bit cool). I love making fresh bread, but had never used the machine for the dough. This is the way to do it. So much less work! Next time, I'll add raisins as cinnamon raisin is a family favorite!

Chef John's Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
This was wonderful! I made it for Thanksgiving morning and it was a hit. I glazed the rolls rather than the coating of frosting in the pictures and then garnished with pumpkin seeds. Will definitely do this again!

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
I love this recipe. It is the best part of pumpkin pie (the filling) placed in a cake. It was a hit in my house! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great.

Brownie Frosting

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
Easy way to dress up boxed brownies! I doubled the batch and covered 2- 9x13 pans. My brownies were cooled completely, but I didn't have any problems with the topping not sticking to the brownies. My only substitution was to use half margarine and half butter, but it was still great!

Chicken and Black Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
Very good, cheap and easy! I used 20 oz Rotel (mild) in place of tomatoes/green chile peppers. Next time I will try half Rotel/half diced tomatoes. Also, used one 10oz can of black beans. I love Beans and will add more next time. I used left over turkey and that worked fine. I covered the pan tight with foil and it cooked the rice perfectly.

Chocolate Chip Orange Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This had great flavor and texture. I loved the addition of orange to this bread. My kids love it too!! I did 1/2c. applesauce and 1/2c. oil, and it turned out great. I'll probably use mini-chips next time to spread out the chocolate.

Skewered Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: May 29, 2007
So easy since most of the work is done ahead. I loved cooking the potatoes before grilling, so my husband only had to brown them. Great flavor without a lot of added fat!

Italian Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
Quick and easy meal on cold winter nights. This recipe is very forgiving, so I just add what ever veggies I have on hand and double the beans for protein.
