Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
Great! Easy to make and very tasty. Note: Make sure you let it sit at least overnight. The ranch is very strong at first, but after sitting dies out.

Sweet Potato Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
These were to soggy to roll into balls. I tried adding some flour - but it needed so much flour to be firm enough to roll into balls that they tasted too gross to eat.

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
This is my favorite. I make it every chance I get. I double the nut/brown sugar and layer it in the crock pot. I take away a little bit of the milk and add extra orange juice instead. I also add marshmellows to the top the last 15 minutes of cooking.

Baby Blue Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Great punch! Used for a baby shower for a boy. Everyone loved it and it was delicious. I added a couple drops of blue food coloring. I also used apple juice instead of cranberry juice.

Cranberry Nut Bread II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Great bread! I didn't have an orange so I cut up an apple and used apple juice instead of oj. I also smashed a banana into the mix. Super moist - wonderful taste!

Rich 'N Thick Hot Chocolate

Great homemade hot chocolate. I cut down on the vanilla just a little bit and thew a handful of small marshmellows in to melt towards the end. Very rich. Very yummy!

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Great sugar cookies. I added 1/2 cup extra sugar. Make sure you flour your hands and the dough if you are rolling. It is very sticky. Keep the dough you are not working with in the fridge until you need it. Take out of the oven when the bottoms start browning. The top still looks a little uncooked - but finish cooking while they are cooling and make for a super soft cookie.

Great breakfast. Easy to make. I only put sausage on half and doubled the hashbrowns.

Three Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I added a can of tomatos to the sauce. Other than that, it is perfect just the way it is! My new favorite.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
The best mushrooms! The mixture makes enough to stuff plenty of mushrooms. I chopped up some whole mushrooms - sauted them in a little olive oil with garlic, worshire and cayenne and threw them into the filling. I also put in a few extra splashes of worshire sauce and upped the cayenne pepper a little for the filling.

I don't use the cloves. Great simple ham with lots of flavor!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
I had almost given up on making my own biscuits. I am so glad I found this. The only thing different I did was put the entire batch of dough into a baking stone. Then we just scooped it out and put gravy on top. It had to bake a little longer. Update: I've been using this recipe for regular biscuits. The flavor is much better if you use butter instead of shortening.

Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
Super easy to make and tastes wonderful. There is plenty for one pie. The pie is a little more cake-like than normal pumpkin pie - but that made it all the better.

Kabob Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
I doubled the recipe and had more than enough for a pound a salmon, 2 pounds of steak and 6 cups of vegetables. I only used half of the soy sauce as that's all I had. It still turned out wonderful!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
I was a little scared of the cottage cheese - almost did not add it. I'm glad I did. This is super moist and very good. I used moz. cheese instead of the swiss.

Mom's Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
Good recipe. I only used 1/2 a cup of brown sugar. That was more than sweet enough. I also added in a some cut up onion. I put everything in the crockpot. Bacon tends to be too chewy in the crockpot so I used ham instead.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Great cake. Very rich (as if the title doesn't give that away). I dusted with powdered sugar and threw some fresh raspberries on.
