Island-Style Fried Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
Excellent recipe. I will make this anytime for a rice dish. A group of us had a pig-spit luau and the rice was the most talked about dish.

Allana's Excellent Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Even though I had changed a few things, I give this one a 5 star plus.I made 16 servings and needed more! I'm lactose so I changed the 4cups of milk to 2cups(1can) coconut milk and 2cups of soy milk. I added 2 cans green beans, shredded carrots and followed others on the spices. Pepper instead of salt, chopped garlic and used all-seasonings. Wow, this soup is so quick and easy, will keep this to use many times. Thank you for the recipe.

Plum Glazed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I used the Kikkomans chili(it is not the chili with/without beans) and also the plum sauce for this recipe(found in the Asian isle of the grocery store). I followed the recipe to a Tee and it turned out great. It's also easy to make in a crock pot, definitely a keeper. Thanks.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
This is fantastic! The leftovers froze well. I followed another reviewer(Nov. 6/06 by Chicago Cook) for the leftovers. Both meals tasted wonderful and so easy to prepare. This recipe will be great in the RV too for those long days when you just want to relax.

Beef and Irish Stout Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
I omitted the tomato paste and browned the meat in Marsala wine as someone suggested, also I used Guinness Draught beer(shelves were empty of stout). This recipe is fantastic. I served it over green Irish Champ potatoes and also had Irish soda bread. I will be making this for any time of the year, it is so easy.

Excellent pie! Made one pie as the recipe and then just changed the layers of chocolate and white for next pie. Everyone loved it and I was asked to make it again, very easy.

I replaced the buttermilk with plain Greek yogurt and I used soy sour cream (only because I am lactose), I followed the recipe and everybody raved over how good it was. Great recipe and I will definitely make this again.

Cottoneyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This was so easy! Everyone raved about how good it was and asked for the recipe, which I printed and gave it to them. With the little bit of leftover that I saved, I chopped up some cooked liver, mixed it with the beans, poured it into a baking dish then put a layer of sliced cheese, covered with mashed potatoes and baked at 350 for 30 mins. It was great. Thank you for this make again recipe.
