Pearl Barley Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2014
This is a very tasty dish and great base casserole if you want to add your own vegetables. I would maybe cut back on the butter a smidge as it seemed abit much. Otherwise, I'll definitely make this again.

Frozen Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
Great recipe, although very rich. I used light cream cheese, light whipped cream, and fat-free chocolate sauce in an attempt to keep the calories down... but that didn't work out so well. It still tasted amazing but the calorie count was still through the roof :) While not something I would make every weekend, its definitely something I would make for a special occasion. The amount of sweetened condensed milk seems abit high, but it worked out. Kudos!

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
This was a fantastic recipe, and although using simple ingredients, it has a really great flavor. The only two things I did differently was leaving out the bacon bits (all I had were simulated ones and they're way to salty) and before filling the tortillas and folding them, I sprayed a frying pan with pam and warmed up/toasted each side of each tortilla for about 4 - 6 seconds each. This made it WAY easier to fold and keep everything in and when they were put into the oven to bake, they came out slightly crispy around the edges but also ever-so-slightly chewy. It was delicious! Well done!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
While following the recipe to the letter, I noticed that there was WAY to much sauce for the amount of chicken and pasta in the salad. The soy sauce, even a light one, was quite overpowering and an herb other than cilantro probably could have been used instead, as cilantro has a strong flavor. I don't think I'll be making this again.

Sesame Ginger Sauce

This recipe, while slightly salty, is quite tasty. Its also very good when tossed with lo-mein noodles, chicken, and vegetables... which makes for a nice quick meal.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I've been cooking and baking for quite some time, and to finally find a waffle recipe that is not only easy (and cheap!) to make but that also has a light and fluffy texture to it, is remarkable. I have also noticed that quite a few of the reviews for this recipe include some individuals adding cinnamon and perhaps chocolate chips to the batter before cooking the waffles themselves, and I have to say that its quite a nice addition. While the recipe is great by itself, the inclusion of various items such as those are a most welcome addition. Kudos to the creator of this recipe!

Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
Unfortunately the recipe wasn't quite as flavorful as I had hoped. I think it was mostly the cabbage's addition (even though its called Cabbage Rolls) that gave it an odd flavor. However, the filling was quite good when it was made into meatballs and baked with mushroom soup instead. Maybe next time.
