About this Cook
I am a busy mother of 4 children and they love to eat most anything I make. My husband is a strong supporter of my cooking and especially likes my leftovers for work the next day. I was raised in a family of 9 children, so of course, I learned my love for cooking from my mother at a very young age. (She has been my biggest influence of a pinch of this and a pinch of that till it tastes like you like it!)
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything that can use homegrown ingredients like stir-fry. I also love to make summer meals like fried chicken, potato salad, and baked beans. I love to make anything in a crock-pot also. One of my favorite things to make though is my mother's bread. (It reminds me of home)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved making homemade candies, chocolates and cookies during the holidays with my mom and sisters growing up, and now I am teaching my oldest daughter how. I also love to can peaches, pears, and any flavor jam (whatever fruit is in season).
My cooking triumphs
I love to use all fresh ingredients from my own garden! Yummy!
My cooking tragedies

Artichoke Chicken
This is soooo good! The only thing I changed was make enough topping for 6 chicken breasts. This was a huge hit with my kids too. I served it with Angel hair pasta with a little olive oil and some garlic seasoning and french bread. Thanks!

Beef Teriyaki
My family loved it! I did add some red pepper flakes, extra garlic powder and soy sauce though, and I used cube steak for the meat. (It was still very tender.) This recipe will be used again and again! Thanks :)
