Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Loved it! We are at a high altitude here (6000 feet) and I had no problems. That is certainly nice for a change!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly but used regular old white bread. It was crispy on the outside and a soggy mush on the inside. This definitely needs a thicker, denser bread. I'm not so sure I will try it again with a better bread because I prefer a much 'eggier" flavor to my french toast.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I love this sauce, but I didn't think 1/3 cocoa was quite enough. I ended up doubling it, and it was perfect! It is smooth and creamy and reheats just fine. A few people complained of it crystalizing. This would be a result of it being cooked too long/hot. Use a candy thermometer and make sure to call it a day once the temp reaches 220 degrees. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2010
Great muffins! I didn't have an wheat germ, so I doubled the oat bran. I was also out of whole wheat flour, so I used white. :( They were delicious and I can't wait to try them using the correct ingrediants!

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Very yummy. I made it with fresh blueberries. I followed the instructions exactly. The top was very brown after only 40 min, although the inside was slightly underdone. I used an 8x8 pan. Maybe I will try a larger dish for next time. I loved the salty/buttery taste, so I wouldn't reduce the butter amount. It isn't very sweet (at least when made with blueberries) so it's great with ice cream. Many have said the center is gooey, but it didn't bother me since I was expecting it to be different than traditional cobbler. Great, easy recipe!

Fresh Pear Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
I followed this pretty closely, except for I substituted 2 eggs for the 4 egg whites. I also made them into muffins and baked them for 30 minutes. They made 24 delicious muffins!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
I follow the recipe exactly and it's amazing every time! In the summertime, I skip the foil and throw the salmon filets straight on the grill. Thanks for a great recipe!

Blueberry Crumble

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Man, this stuff is sooooo good when you are craving something really sweet and totally unhealty. Kids love it because it tastes totally artificial. Balance it with a good helping on ice-cream!

Brie Cheese Appetizer

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
This is one of the tastiest things I've ever had. I pretty much followed to recipe exactly, but I did way more preserves to suit our tastes. There is no reason to freeze the brie before cutting it in half. It cuts just fine. Also, be very careful not to cook it too long. The consistency of the brie will change and it will become gelatinous. Love this!!!

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
I took the advice of another review and substituted pumpkin pie spice for the other spices. It was very bland. Next time I try this, I won't make any substitutions.
