About this Cook
I love to cook to make people happy. good food always bring out smiles and conversation. I love it when I make somthing for one of my kids and them be sooo happy about it. We have a 3 yr old mini doxie who is our 5th child she is our forever toddler.Spoiled rotten by her "mom and dad"
My favorite things to cook
BBQ, casseroles, one pot meals, breads, soups. New recipes with new ingredients. I love to grill meat
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember every Sunday my mom would cook fried chicken, mashed potatoes, white gravy. With that in mind I try and make every Sundays dinner a planned meal with all the fixins.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I bakes a cake and it came out of the pan clean LOL. MANY years my daughters birthday cake was filled in with frosting.
My cooking tragedies
Thanksgiving morning I got up early to put the Turkey in and found the heating element burnt in 2! I chopped up the turkey and tried to BBQ it, lol charred on the outside raw on the inside.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil
This was so yummy!!! my family loved it! I will have to double the recipe next time to avoid the sad faces when it was all gone :) The only change I made was I added 1/4 cup of half and half at the end because it seemed a little dry. Excellent recipe will be used alot this summer!
