Excellent! I used one whole egg to avoid throwing out two yolks and I substituted white whole wheat flour for 1/2 cup of the all-purpose. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as closely as possible and they are delicious. I found crushing the frozen raspberries a bit helps distribute them through the batter to avoid big mushy pockets of cooked fruit. Will definitely make these again!

Pumpkin-Oat Scones

As written this recipe is a little bland, but only because of the lack of sugar; if you were looking for a sugar free recipe this would be great. I added a couple tablespoons of sugar & made them for a preschool tea party, adding the glaze for the grownups and that worked pretty well. You can also substitute part of the all purpose flour with white whole wheat flour to increase the fiber without negatively affecting the results.

Jeanie's Falafel

I made these without reading prior reviews (perhaps a mistake) and, although we thought the flavor was great, they consistency didn't work at all. I followed the recipe exactly as written and they fell completely apart in the oil, turning into a sludge in the bottom of the oil. We baked the remaining balls and enjoyed the yummy flavor without the fried crunch you would expect from falafel. Perhaps an egg would solve the problem? I might try again because the flavor was so good, but as written I can't see how the recipe can deserve five stars.

Spicy Crabmeat Tostadas

I made these following the recipe exactly as written and they weren't bad, but we didn't think they were spectacular either. It would certainly be easier to just buy tostadas and skip the step for baking the tortillas.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I make mine a little smaller (just a personal preference), but no matter what size you make them adjust the cooking time for your oven and do not overbake. They will look slightly undercooked when you take them out of the oven, but that's how they end up soft and chewy when cool. I make these all the time and always get loads of compliments & requests for the recipe.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Excellent! I did do the spraying & sprinkling with cinnamon prior to cutting just to avoid making such a mess and I did that to both sides instead of just one. I followed the salsa recipe as written & it was very yummy.

Viennese Crescent Holiday Cookies

I made these with almonds as suggested by the submitter and they are quite good. I found one minute wasn't long enough for the cookies to cool before coating with sugar as the sugar just dissolved into the cookies. I waited until they were cool and rolled them in sugar again. These seem to freeze well.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

I followed the recipe and this didn't work out for me at all. The pie crust turned out great around the edges, but it was mushy and undercooked at the bottom. The streusel, although tasty, got really crunchy and seemed a little dry. The filling tastes great and we're still eating the pie, but I wouldn't want to serve it to guests.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

I never would have thought brussels sprouts could be so yummy - I guess bacon makes everything tasty! My husband and I both enjoyed this and I look forward to keeping it in my repertoire.

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

I followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out pretty well. We weren't quite as impressed by the end product as many reviewers, but it's probably the only decent cauliflower recipe I've found that doesn't incorporate a ton of cheese, so I'll definitely keep it around.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

I followed the recipe exactly as written and while it was pretty good (and not as time consuming as some reviews suggest), I didn't find it to be very stew-like. It was really thick and more like eating roast beef with vegetables. This may be a function of slow cooker size or how much liquid evaporates from your cooker, but is something to consider if you know your slow cooker is prone to losing liquid.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

I thought this recipe was pretty good, but as written it is a little bland. I added extra vanilla, which helps. The cookies do turn out soft and are good iced; I don't think they would be as good without icing.

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Like other reviewers I didn't have maple sugar, but made my own by mixing a few drops of maple extract with granulated sugar. These were great and everyone loved them - very soft & chewy, even after a few days.

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

I love this recipe! It makes way more stuffing that can fit in the peppers, but the stuffing is good by itself reheated the next day. Also works well stuffed in zucchini "boats" if you don't care for peppers.
