Hot Mexican Bean Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2012
This was delish! I made it just as the recipe was written with the exception of adding grated pepper jack cheese to the been mix. I still added the grated cheese to the top - can't ever have to much cheese!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
I read this recipe early Saturday morning hoping the grandkids would eat them. Didn't have time to read all the reviews so I made them as written. The batter was a little thick so I added about 2 tbsps. of milk. Next time I will try some of the suggestions to avoid this. Other than that they were perfect! A close second to pancakes at Cracker Barrel and so much more convenient when you have to feed hungry, picky babies!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This made a great tasting sub sandwich. I needed something quick and easy while babysitting our twin grandbabies. Put my frozen roast in my digital pressure cooker with 4 cloves garlic, an envelope of french onion soup mix, some beef broth and the pepperoncini. Pressure cooked for 50 min, thickened up the sauce and sliced up the roast. Piled it on a hoagie roll with jalepeno monterey jack cheese and broiled. Yum!!! Family loved it. Thanks for a fast & easy recipe.

Delicious Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
I used a rotisserie chicken minus skin and bones and cut-up, ready-made broth, and 3 cups of cooked rice based on the other reviews. Added a pinch of sage and shredded cheddar cheese and it was a hit. Both hubby and son asked for 2nd servings.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
We love this chicken. Always turns out tender and flavorful. We like it over rice so we can mix it up with the sauce.

Crispy Baked Oatmeal

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Great alternative to a plain bowl of oatmeal when you're trying to increase your fiber. It got a little crumbly by the next day and used it in my yogurt.

Toffee Almond Sandies

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2007
Thank-you Alice for posting this. I have baked these cookies for years - they have always been our "beach" cookies because they stay so crispy. My recipe is still packed somewhere after our last move and we have missed these cookies. They are so crispy and yummy and I've baked them twice in the last week!

Corn and Chicken Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
A perfect chowder when it's 25 degrees outside. I was out of celery so I used cream of celery soup, didn't use water - used chicken broth instead. Added rosemary and a dash of sage and used half & half instead of lowfat milk. Thickened it with cornstarch but just enough to give it a little thickness. Stick to the ribs good!

Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
This was so good. I added extra spinach and artichokes, sauteed garlic and onions in the butter, sprinkled some cayenne pepper for an extra kick and added a half bag of shredded Italian cheese blend to it. We've been eating it all week!

Seashell Supper

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2006
This was okay - had to doctor it up a lot because it was kind of bland. I added garlic and Italian seasonings and that helped but it still needed something. Finally added some Cajun Andouille Sausage and then it was good! I only added about 1/2 cup water and let it simmer. Probably won't make it again; its very much like another recipe that I've used for years as comfort food.

The Best Slow Cooker Cream Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
This was delicious. I used cheddar cheese instead of American and added cubed ham to make it a one dish meal. My family loved it. I then used the leftovers in my cornbread recipe and it turned out great too!
