About this Cook
Hello from Illinois! Working full-time as an Office Manager for an excavation contractor and diligently trying to keep up with household demands, leaves me little time to indulge in my love of experimenting with new recipes. Summer time brings time spent at the lake for much needed relaxation.
My favorite things to cook
Working everyday I am always in pursuit of quick, easy, and delicious main dishes to prepare. On my days off you will find me feeding my heart's desire of preparing delectable desserts. I love trying new recipes to add to my treasured collection.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am always elected to make dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas. In Addition to the dressing, it is always requested that I make my super double cream cheesecake.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving day gives me the opportunity to make a variety of dishes to go along with the turkey. Making that fabulous meal is a triumph every year :)
My cooking tragedies
Getting in too much of a hurry and removing a cheesecake from the oven way too soon and having it literally fall to pieces on me! I had to bake another one and I was up until the wee hours of the morning as not to disappoint the Thanksgiving meal.

Mushion Pork
I had high hopes for this recipe, but truthfully, I found it to be very bland and boring even though my husband liked it. I added, 1 1/2 t. worcestershire, fresh mushrooms, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper and this recipe still fell short of my expectations. I think maybe adding onion soup mix would perhaps give it a little more kick if I decided to make it again.

Banana Crumb Muffins
This recipe was really good :) I did as others suggested by using oil instead of the butter and by adding vanilla to the batter. Others had problems with the topping saying it melted into the muffins. I used a wire wisk to blend the topping mix and it turned out great creating a crunchy top. Make sure not to over mix the topping mix and you should have no problem :)

Sausage Potato Bake
I made the crockpot version and this turned out really delicious :) This recipe had lots of flavor and was filling. The only changes I made was to add a medium onion, parsley flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. I will recommend this recipe to others as an inexpensive and delicious recipe. Thank you for sharing :)
