We have always used acini de pepe for this salad and referred to it as Frog Eye Salad. We omit the cherries and use three cans of mandarin oranges(whole) as well as a cup of mini marshmallows. We can't have a family gathering without it!

Frog Eye Salad

This is a great recipe, but omit the coconut- many people don't like it and this recipe makes a ton! (You can cut it in half.) Absolutely do NOT replace the cooked dressing with vanilla pudding.

Indoor S'mores

If your mixture hardened too fast, you probably cooked it rather than heating it just to melting. I think this is better made the day before and given a chance to set up well. Then it is fudgy but not gooey.
