About this Cook
I love food ! Good food, good music, good people, good wine! All of my favorite moments in life happen with these few ingredients
My favorite things to cook
Anything new and unusual. I always like one item in a meal to be a delightful surprise.
My cooking triumphs
For thanksgiving, I covered my 22lb. turkey with cheescloth (soaked with white wine and melted butter). I cooked it for 8 hrs. and basted it with more of the wine and butter, every 15 min. When I took off the cheesecloth, The turkey was crispy dark brown and melt-in-your-mouth juicy. I was told by two people, That it was the best turkey they had ever eaten.

Bread Pudding I
I just made this recipe. It's PERFECT as is. My mother and grandmother made bread pudding for me as a child, and this was how it tasted! This is going into my recipe box. Thanks for a wonderful treat!

Apple Coleslaw
I just made this recipe. I didn't have any pineapple juice, so I subbed it for orange juice. It's way at the top of my list of the best coleslaw that I've ever had! I can't wait to see how it tastes after it has sat in the fridge for awhile. This one goes into my recipe box for sure!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
I followed the instructions, and it was great! So easy! I am always going to cook chicken this way. It was so tender and juicy, and it fell off of the bones. The cleanup is easier too. Just throw out the foil, and you are left with the yummy juice to make gravy. What a great idea! Thanks!
