Modenese Pork Chops

I wasn't sure if I should make this as my husband is not a big fan of rosemary but as it was just 1/2 teaspoon I went ahead. We both thought it was great. It was a nice, quick, simple way to fix pork chops. I thought that 1 tsp of salt was going to be too much so I only used 1/2 tsp.

Baked Kale Chips

I only had enough parchment paper for one cookie sheet. So one of my pans didn't have any on it. I tossed the kale in the oil & seasoned salt, as the brand new mister I bought does not work, despite reviewers tips :-/ I thought the seasoning salt was too much salt. The kale chips on the paper were definitely better. Next time I will make sure I have enough parchment paper but I think I will season the chips after they cook instead of before.

Delicious, made it exactly as listed. Everyone loved it. Will probably use a slightly larger pan next time. It was surprisingly filling, quick & easy to make. A keeper!

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

I just made this tonight, my son went back for seconds, and he's a very picky eater! Instead of using mayo I used sun-dried tomato dressing. I did cook it for longer, but I've had salmonella before and I can be a little obsessive with making sure the chicken is thoroughly cooked. We all loved it!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

This is our go to cake for birthday's etc. I usually replace rum for the water, not sure why. I've made it many times and it's nice and easy. One day I must have been in the rum before baking, I forgot the eggs but the cake was still REALLY good. I think it would be tough to mess this cake up!

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

I use this recipe each time I make fried rice, even if I don't add the chicken. I don't put the egg in first I wait until it is almost done then I clear the center of the pan and cook the egg then mix the rice in. I also use peanut oil instead of vegetable oil. I bought it for another recipe and could only find a large container so I now use it for all of my chinese recipes, it was so expensive.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

All of us liked these, including my 8 year old son! These will be our new recipe when we eat fries. I used seasoning salt instead of the taco seasoning. I can see that oven temperature and cooking time will have to be worked on. I did adjust per other reviewers and I am sure it is all to do with how thick you slice your potatoes. I have a french fry slicer so I can make consistant sized fries each time. As healthy as these are and as delicious as they are I think they are worth working with to help us get healthy. A definite addition to my regular rotation.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

I made these using all wheat flour because I was out of white. I had been looking for a recipe I could use to make hamburger buns. I halved the recipe and used my bread maker to make the dough. I didn't cook the oats first, I put in the order suggested by another reviewer, oats, butter, water, flour, sugars, salt and yeast. When the dough was ready I made it into 8 rolls. I flattened the rolls and baked them on a cookie sheet when they had risen. I put butter on the tops as soon as I took them out of the oven so they wouldn't be crunchy. The bottoms were still a little firm, this is no fault of the recipe and as dinner rolls would probably be preferable. Next time rather than putting butter on them, they are so healthy otherwise, I am going to put them in a bag while they are still warm so the moisture will make them soft. I will repost if this works! We ate these with "Chris's Bay Area Burgers" and 'Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries" both from this site. We felt really good that we were eating healthier! I will be keeping this recipe.

French Baguettes

We are really picky about our bread and this couldn't have been easier. I put the ingredients in the bread maker on the dough setting. Once it was ready, I rolled it out into baguette shapes and let it rise for 30 minutes, then put it in the oven. My boys (5 & 7) loved it and my husband told me that he didn't want me to ever buy store bread again!

These were pretty good. My son (20) liked them but I think they are bettr sauted in butter so I probably won't make them again- he lives on his own so I'm sure he will make them if he likes them.

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce III

This recipe is SINFUL! Just rereading the recipe made me crave some. I made this for our dessert on Christmas Day and we were all so full we hardly ate any of it. The sinful part is the fact that I personally ate the left overs myself within 4 days. I even had some for breakfast one day! I swore I would never make it again because of my lack of willpower, but for the same reason I know I will! A definite keeper in my recipe box.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Omg, I just saw I had not rated this and feel really bad as I have been using this recipe for all of our get togethers for quite a while now. Everyone loves this when I make it. I don't use the sundried tomatoes, just use Roma but other than that I make as the recipe suggests.
