Simple Crustless Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2013
Did use the reviews of others to modify - adding red bell pepper really helped make the dish.

The dressing was a hit! Followed the recipe and added crumbled goat cheese.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
Delicious! We followed the top rated comments re: the egg wash and the sauce (cream of chicken soup, sour cream, lemon juice). We made 16 servings of this for a dinner party and everyone (well, the meat-eaters anyway) enjoyed it - some went back for 2nds.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2009
I make this for a dinner party (16 peeps). I found that this turned out fairly decent. I did use the sun-dried tomatoes in oil (Costco has a huge jar for $7, note though it comes with garlic and some seasoning). I think it still worked okay, I know there was a bit more oil in the sauce that there should have been, but didn't have issues with separation when warm. Since I had to use 4c, I think if I ever make this again with tomatoes in oil, I'll chop them in the food processor to get them smaller. I also brined the chicken beforehand - turned out perfect.

Angie's Dad's Best Cabbage Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
Excellent! Love that it's mayo-free. It makes a TON. One head of cabbage left me with enough servings for about 30 people..

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
I've not actually made this yet, but my mom has and I wanted to add her comments, so I don't forget(she LOVES this recipe): Pan size is not regular loaf pan size but smaller. If you make full recipe this will make 3 loaves. If you half this recipe use 2 eggs. I've made with or without nuts and used pecans rather than walnuts. With this list of ingredients how couldn't it be great! (Mom)

Goat Cheese and Arugula over Penne

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Yum, yum!! I just had some Roma tomatoes and they worked just as well. You might try Cypress Grove's Truffle Tremor for the cheese - rich and delish!

Easy Baklava

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Rec'd RAVE reviews when making this. It may be "easy", but it's still very time consuming. I had tried to make it special by following another reviewer's suggestion of apricots, while it may have added a nice texture - def. slowed the process down as the mixture became sticky to work with.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Fanastic - has been a hit each time. Was good to split into 2 smaller dishes (may want more cheese) so that one could be frozen (and the pasta fit better).

Roasted Vegetables

Love, love!! Made over the holidays to as a side to the "world's best" lasagna, but my mom only wanted the veggies. Others have asked for the recipe.

Was not spectacular - may have had too much spinach on my end...

Fresh Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Excellent!! I only had large crystal sugar (organic)- was leary of the results, but it melted fully in the cookies themselves and made for a great "cruch" on the outside (rolled sugar) to offset the softness of the cookie.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
Super tasty and easy - great for our dinner party. May try a store roast chicken next time to cut corners. The tortilla strips were good and easy - just more time-consuming than I'd prefer.
