Football Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I made this for the second time today and thought I should review it. I did not use the taco seasoning and added an extra tbsp of Worcestershire sauce. I had been looking for a recipe that was moldable and this was perfect! I would post the pic, but I made mine in a naughty shape for an adult party I had been attending... It was perfect and had rave reviews... we are on adult party #2 with this group of friends and it is back by popular demand! Thanks for the great recipe! Perfect to experiment with!

Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
Very Easy PB fudge without problems. The fude turned oiut nice and smooth, not grainy as others had said. Maybe they coked the mixture too long? Would make it again and again!

Instant Pistachio Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
Took this to Thanksgiving dinner at 2 houses. It was a hit at both, with us leaving some behind for my mother-in-law! Even my step-mom(who can make everything amazing)said hers doesn't turn out well and wanted to know how to make this! Definately will make again and might even experiment with added fruit, or might just not mess with perfection!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
Ok so I am not talented and ended up layering tortillas, chicken mixture, cheese and we added a small amount of enchilada sauce to the layers. We added black beans and it watered down the mix alittle so I added extra chicken. I baked it covered with foil until it was bubbly and cheese was melted, about an hour. It was excellent! We ate all the leftovers, better the next day! Thanks for this one!

Hamburger Pie

It was ok, but kinda bland. Don't know if I would cook again real soon. But thanks for the idea. Maybe if I tinker with it....

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2006
Ive been making this for years and it always is a hit. Our modifications are to layer the beef mixture on the bottom, add a layer of canned green beans, drained, then the cheese and topped with the tatortots. It takes about 45 min in the oven and is done when the tator tots are browned and the mixture is bubbly. It helps the tator tots be more crisp and the cheese mixes good with the meat mixture. (I had to sneak in a veggie for my picky eaters.)

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
I popped the popcorn the old fashioned way on the stove in my 5qt dutch oven. It was the perfect amount. I buttered a huge stainless steel bowl that I use for baking and put the popcorn in it in the oven while I made the syrup. I only had about 1/2 of the amount of corn syrup so I added pancake syrup to it per another review and the results were still delicius! We took some on a camping trip and it was gone in 10 min! I will definately make this again. I like it best with only 1/2 cup butter, also

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
I am so glad I tried this recipe! I listened to others and let the chicken sit in salt water for ahile and also let the chicken rest for 10 min before I dipped in the eggs and refloured. The chicken was browned quickly so I turned the temp down on the electric skillet for the last 10 min and finished it off in the oven at 350 degrees while I fried the french fries. It was so juicy on the inside, but crispy on the outside. I added some cajun and alittle more of the other spices then the recipe recommended, for our personal taste. We will definately make this again.

The Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2006
I used 4 med bananas and added a small dash of cinnamon. The rest I stuck to the recipe, checking it after 1 hour. It was delicious, not dry and there wasn't any left! I would make this one again.

Peach Cobbler I

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
I reduced the btter by 2 TBsp and it turned out great. I doubled the batter and increased the peaches to 6 cups as suggested. I think it couldve been fine with the extra peaches and the reg amount of batter, but I only got one helping before the rest of the family devoured it to really rate it!
