About this Cook
I work all week as a customer service person for a major company. I am involved with my kids and family.
My favorite things to cook
My family favorites, tator tot casserole cheese carrots, Turkey on the Grill, and cookies and desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Aunt Nancy's Baked Beans, always a favorite, Pasta Salad that never has leftovers, a holiday is never complete without cheese carrots either.
My cooking triumphs
Grilling is rewarding, but out triumphs have been in campfire cooking. It is always fun to watch the campers around us waft closer when we make stew on the campfire, and cakes in the ashes. Blueberry lemon has been a favorite! We are never afraid to experiment and the feel of pioneer spirit makes me so proud.
My cooking tragedies
As an 18 yr old new bride, I thought I was ready to make my first ham. After carefully peeling back all the plastic and dressing it, cooking it and basting it, I discovered there was another layer of packaging(waxy paper)! LOL

Football Cheese Ball
I made this for the second time today and thought I should review it. I did not use the taco seasoning and added an extra tbsp of Worcestershire sauce. I had been looking for a recipe that was moldable and this was perfect! I would post the pic, but I made mine in a naughty shape for an adult party I had been attending... It was perfect and had rave reviews... we are on adult party #2 with this group of friends and it is back by popular demand! Thanks for the great recipe! Perfect to experiment with!

Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge
Very Easy PB fudge without problems. The fude turned oiut nice and smooth, not grainy as others had said. Maybe they coked the mixture too long? Would make it again and again!

Instant Pistachio Salad
Took this to Thanksgiving dinner at 2 houses. It was a hit at both, with us leaving some behind for my mother-in-law! Even my step-mom(who can make everything amazing)said hers doesn't turn out well and wanted to know how to make this! Definately will make again and might even experiment with added fruit, or might just not mess with perfection!
