our family loves this pie! i used the store bought roll-out crust to save time, and the filling just takes a few minutes, literally--couldn't be easier!

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
amazing. not the easiest recipe to put together, but just follow the directions. Also, it freezes nicely--we made it to take to a friends house, just thaw it completely before baking (and add a little time). Also, i only used one box of the spinach and it was plenty.

Caramel-Apple Crisp

Very easy and yummy! Make sure to use tart apples bc all that sweetness gets overpowering with a sweet apple too (honeycrisp was what I had on hand)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
super easy to make--follow the directions! one thing we did was because the sauce seemed to surround the meatloaf, we drained it off of the loaf after we took it out of the pan, seperated the fat off, then poured it back overtop kind of as a sauce. great flavor!

Triple-Layer Pumpkin Spice Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Simple and easy! goes together in under 5 minutes--but you have to make sure you get the jello at the store when you see it--not all stores carry it and the one near me only gets it in once a year and when it's gone, it's gone. Yummy, easy, fun!

Hash Brown Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
Couldn't be easier! Perfect use of leftover ham. Definitely followed other reviews and went with 4 eggs. (Reheats perfectly!)This is now not only a way to use left-over ham, but is a staple in our home!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
easy to follow. I made 2 (as directed, without a baine marie, just to try it) and both cracked. So, as long as you're ok with that, then do it as directed. If you want to be sure, go ahead and try that--but I wasn't interested in the extra work.

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
so good. I can't take credit--my better half made it, but it's so rich, but light at the same time. Made it twice and was a hit at our holiday gathering. Tips! Make sure the milk/ flour mixture is cold, and that you whip the life out of the frosting, otherwise the butter isn't fully incorporated and it looks bad (still tastes great though)

WOW, super recipe--so easy using the food processor...I used butter and omitted the coffee (don't use instant, so didn't have any in the house) and it's one of our new favs!

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
hubby and dad loved it! (me too :)) used double sauce and used 1/2 sausage, 1/2 beef too as many others did. Had to cook mine an extra 10 longer than directions, also, best to let it stand to "solidify" for about 10 minutes to be safe. Enjoy!

Empanadas I

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
not impressed. the filling was ok at best, tasted a lot like a canned sloppy joe--and I've made a lot of crusts or pies, whatever, and this dough would not work...couldn't get it thin enough to hold the meat and too thick it tasted like unlevened bread. would never attempt again.

Apple Turnovers

we made these as individuals and froze them on a cookie sheet--now whenever we're craving something sweet, we toss these in the oven. A great use for all of those end of summer apples...hard to screw it up!

i rarely give 5 stars, but this was really good--I followed the advice of other reviewers and mixed the nuts and chips in the batter, this cake rocks! Super easy to whip up, nothing weird in it (other than zucchini) that you need to run out and get--
