My favorite things to cook
Nacho chicken rice wraps, chicken taco soup, stuffed peppers, and ravioli lasagna are some of my favorite dishes to prepare.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unlike a lot of young women, I've always been good in the kitchen. I attribute that to watching my mom cook for years.
My cooking triumphs
I was particularly proud of the cute AND delicious cake I baked for my boyfriend's most recent birthday. Typically my things taste great but can look pretty sloppy.
My cooking tragedies
I have been lucky so far. I have not messed anything up so badly I would call it a "tragedy". I burn the occasional cupcake and I have forgotten to grease a cake pan.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake
I could probably sell this cake illegally in a dark alley somewhere. Outrageously, ridiculously, sinfully good. I baked it for 45 minutes, then checked it and it was done. Better to bake for less time, remember- you can always stick it back in the oven, but if it's overbaked, there's nothing you can do.

Spicy Lime Grilled Shrimp
These were seriously amazing. I did add more lime and cut the Cajun seasoning in half. I also don't have a grill so I sauteed them over the stove. Going to make these over and over and over.

Tortilla and Bean Soup
I was feeling adventurous and used shrimp instead of chicken. I just threw it in frozen with all the other ingredients and simmered for 30 minutes. This is really, really good. I made it to take to lunch all week and I expect it will only get better as the week goes on.
