Nut Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
This dough was very nice to work with and tastes very good. I used one cup butter and one cup margarine. I also used warmed canned cream instead of milk and dissolved the yeast with one tablespoon of sugar in it. I did not use the filling recipe. But this dough is a keeper.

I made this with chicken, spinach and artichocks in the filling. no onions, peppers or nutmeg. I used different cheese. I did use 2 eggs, 3/4 cup sour cream and 3/4 cup half and half. It was very good. Better the next day heated up.

Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
I have to agree that you need to double the filling for this. I made two 8" pans with on batch of the crust recipe, the first I only used one a single batch of the filling and it was very thin. The second I doubled it and it came out better. I did not use the lemon in mine. I do however like the addition of the walnuts in the crust. I will add that after they sat in the fridge buy the second day they tasted much better. The crust softened a bit and they tasted more like real cheesecake.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
I made them over a campfire this past weekend on a family camping trip. They cook quite well and tasted good. I agree that they could use something else in with the cream cheese mix. Next time I think I will put some pepperjack cheese in with it.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
Very good. I did not add the parmesan or use the bread crumb mixture. I added extra cheese to the top because I like that better. I found whipped cottage cheese and used that. I didn't think it was very creamy but I could have baked it to long. All in all it had great flavor.

Overnight Caramel Pecan Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
Very good. I made these with frozen bread dough to have for Easter morning. I didn't think they would fill the pan so I used cut up refrige. biscuits for the second pan, they wore excellent also. My father ask what bakery I got the buns from (bread dough ones) because he didn't think I could make something that tasted that good.

Raisin-Filled Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
The flavor is excellent. I had some trouble with the dough sticking when rolled out, I just added more flour to the board. Could have put more filling in, I only used a tsp. full. I did not add the Nutmeg. The raisins took longer then 3min. to thicken. But these are well worth the trouble I went through.
