David's Yellow Cake

Delicious! I didn't have cake flour so substituted 3/4c all purpose flour and 2T corn starch. Followed advice and made sure and beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Moist Garlic Roasted Chicken

Loved the taste. I just put it in a stoneware baker from pampered chef and it tasted great. The skin didn't crisp but that's OK as skin isn't good for you anyway!

Avocado Salad

I'm trying to eat more avocado because of them being so good for you. This was delicious! Only thing I did differently was I had a regular onion rather than a sweet one so I used half the onion. Yumm!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Super yummy good! Added maybe 1/2 cup extra of brown sugar/cinnamon mixture. The frosting needed extra powdered sugar to be the right consistency. DS said best ever!

Eggplant Sandwiches

Made this for my vegetarian son who was home for the weekend. It was great! Even I liked it and I'm not a big eggplant fan. We used small hamb buns so did not cut the eggplant slices in half. Made the eggplant just as the recipe said and it turned out great.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Probably the best chicken we've ever had! I cut strips of cream cheese the long way and it was fine but they were pretty huge breasts. I used 3 garlic bulbs and 1 1/2 lemons. I also baked at 375 for most of the time since I was running late. Deserves 6 stars!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Loved it! I was out of bread crumbs so I crushed some stuffing cubes. Probably 1/3 herb and 2/3 plain. It was yummy!

French Pastry Pie Crust

This is the pie crust my mom has made for years. Only she uses apple cider vinegar and lard whenever possible. Remember to not overwork it.

Oven Pot Roast

This is a great recipe! I've made this with no changes except for olive oil instead of butter. It was great! I've also done this with onions instead of the soup mix and I normally don't add the cream of mushroom soup just cause I don't think it needs it (great with it but I don't always have the mushroom soup on hand). I also tend to add a teaspoon of horseradish to it just out of habit. Again, this is a great recipe without any changes.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

This was just OK. Nothing great. My vegetarian DS said it was good. I did not cook the noodles and it was just the right amount of liquid. Maybe those who thought it was too much juice did not let it sit after baking?
