I'm currently a student in Toronto, Canada. I'm finishing up my last year in a 4 year degree. It's pretty fun. I'm a vegetarian, and have been for over 10 years. I've probably been cooking and baking since i was 9 or 10.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook a lot of pan-asian style dishes, a lot of different vegetarian dishes, and a lot of baking 'gourmet' style breads and desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a Ukrainion/Irish/Polish background, and my grandmother has taught me how to make the *perfect* perogi. Also, Cabbage Rolls are another big hit in my family. I want to start learning some Irish style dishes as well.
My cooking triumphs
Usually I do desserts for my moms dinner parties - I think that my Bittersweet chocolate cake is the most favoured dessert yet, and my homeade lasagna is definetly fantastic (not to brag lol).
My cooking tragedies
Hmmm...I think my tragedies mainly relate to when I attempt to make fudge (and I always want to make this!). My Maple Fudge will NEVER turn out, and yet I keep on trying!
