Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
This chili was so good! Everyone in my family really liked it a lot. The changes that I made were to use real garlic (maybe 3 cloves), and I added sauteed green pepper. I also added about a tsp of cumin. I used Pace original picante sauce and McCormick's chili seasoning packet. Served with Frito scoops, shredded cheese and sour cream! YUMMO!!

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
This rice was so good!! So much better then the "rice" packets you can buy at the store! I will make this again and again! So easy!! The only thing I did differently was use 2 1/2 cups chicken broth. It was the perfect amount! Oops, I also added a little chili pepper :) I served this with the salsa chicken from this site-perfect pairing! I also made corn and black beans. I plan on making burritos tomorrow with the leftovers and I can't wait!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
My whole family really liked this! So good, so easy! This will definitely be made again! I followed the recipe for the most part. The changes that I made: I added 3/4 can of chicken broth to the crock pot (instead of water) along with the two cans of cream of chicken. I added some dried parsley, salt and pepper. I cooked that on high for about 3 hrs. Then I added the biscuits. I used one 16oz can of grands biscuits. I flattened them out a bit and then cut each biscuit into nine pieces. I cut up the chicken breasts into bite sz pieces. I added the biscuits and chicken back into the crockpot for another 2 1/2 hrs. Served with mixed vegetables on the side. I mixed mine all together on my plate, but knew that my son wouldn't want it mixed in. Very good comfort food :)

This was awesome! Everyone at the party I made it for raved! I left out the brown sugar-didn't think that sugar and sheese went well together. I chopped the onions really small as my family aren't really onion fans. Will definitely make again!

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
OMG!!!! This is simply the BEST! And the easiest! I made this for Christmas brunch and the only problem I had was that I did not make double! The changes that I made were 1 cup milk, 5 eggs, no nuts. After i poured the egg mixture onto the bread, I thought that it looked a little too much, so I then poured about 1/3rd back out. I was afreaid of mushy results. It was in the oven for about 50 minutes and it was perfect!!!!!! After it came from the oven I turned the pan upside down onto a serving platter. I did serve the extra sauce on the side. YUMMY! MUST TRY !

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
Wow! These are so delicious! I used all butter and mini choc chips instead of raisins as my son doesn't like raisins. Twelve minutes is a little too long. My first two trays came out too crunchy. The other 2 trays I only left in for 9 minutes, and pefect! It drives me nuts when people totally change the recipe around and then give it a rating on their finished product. Being that I changed the recipe a little is why I gave it 4 stars. Next time I will make some with raisins and others with choc chips! Thanks!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
OMG! I made this last night for my father in law's birthday dinner, it was the best chicken that any of us ever had! My 4 yr old son & 6 yr old daughter could'nt get enough!! Wow, this is the oly way I will make roasted chicken again. I had an 8 lb chicken, doubled the seasonings (except the cayenne & salt), put the seasonings in a shaker and rubbed it under the skin as well as over it. I quartered an onion put it in the cavity-meant to add garlic but forgot-Then I wrapped in saran wrap, put in fridge for 4 hrs and then cooked it for 5 at 250. YUMMY!!!!!!!! Today I made soup with the dark meat and bones and the broth is a little on the spicy side.
