Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2011
Loved this recipe! I was a little hesitant about using the oil, based on other reviews, but they turned out great! I only baked for 4 minutes per side for my second baking. The dough is very crumbly when you first lay it out on your baking sheet, but it does bake up nicely. I drizzled mine with white chocolate to which I added a few drops of lemon extract. Nice combo!

Cherry Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2011
This is such a great recipe! OMG!!! The crust came together quickly and beautifully, I just wasn't sure if there'd be enough dough for two crusts, but I did't have to worry. The filling was just sweet enough. I had rave reviews from my husband who called it "phenomenal" and said I HAD to make this again right away! Thanks for the recipe.

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I really like the flavor for the most part, but found it a bit too salty. Next time I'd reduce the beef bullion and not add any additional salt.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
My family loves this recipe!!! We make it very often. I always double the recipe, use about 3/4 butter and 1 cup of buttermilk, which really makes them moist!

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I've never made Irish Soda bread so I have nothing to compare this bread to. It looks and tastes like a giant, dense, biscuit. I happen to like biscuits so I'm not complaining. Just not sure if I did something wrong? I would try this recipe again.

Artichoke Salsa

Out of this world! It is so simple, but the flavor is amazing. I doubled the recipe and used it as a topping for Italian Subs!

This is a wonderful tasting simple salad. Excellent dressing. I used goat cheese instead of blue.

Colorado Green Chili (Chile Verde)

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
We LOVED this recipe. It was a nice change from tomato based chili. Being from Ohio, I could not find the right green chilies. So I roasted two poblano's in the oven and used a can of diced green chilies and a half a can of jalapeno. We served it over mashed potatoes which balanced out the heat from the chili nicely.

Salsamole!!

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
I had high hopes for this. It would've made just an outstanding guacamole. I'll probably try it again as just that. But I think what ruined the flavor for me was the can of diced tomatoes. It took away from the flavor quite a bit. I mixed it more than I should've because I had to add salt to add flavor the tomatoes took away! The end result looked like split pea soup. I will try again, next time I'll modify and keep it as guacamole.

Grandma's Blackberry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
I basically liked this pie. The crust was good although I had trouble rolling it out. I used frozen berries which in hindsight wasn't the best option, my pie was a little runny. I don't think the apples did much either. I liked this enough to want to try again with FRESH berries though.

Grilled Salmon with Avocado Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
Really great flavor. I forgot to serve the dip with the salmon, but it really didn't matter. The flavor was great regardless. I'll make again!

Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
The salad dressing was so yummy! What a great recipe. I did not toast the walnuts, but thought the flavor was fine anyway. Just a great mix of flavors. I'll make this again.

Chocolate Frosting II

I haven't had luck with chocolate frosting, but this recipe turned out perfect! It was so smooth and creamy and tasted really delicious. I will only use this chocolate frosting from now on. Thank you.

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This is the best meatloaf I have made in a long time. I wouldn't have thought of making a meatloaf in the slow cooker. It was so tender and moist. I guess it's the milk? My 14 month old had about 3 servings. I will be making this again! I wouldn't change the sauce either, it turned out perfect.

I was really pleased with this marinade. I totally eyeballed the measurements, but the combination of ingredients was perfect. I'll be using this over and over.

Cherry Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
I loved these cookies, the cherries add such a nice contrast to the chocolate chunks. I typically leave out nuts from cookie recipes, but I added them here and they were wonderful. I baked mine about a minute less to keep them soft and I substituted white whole wheat flour for half the flout listed. Great recipe.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
This bread is wonderful! So moist and delicious, I can't stop eating. I'll be making another loaf soon. The only change I made is I used 1/4 cup of honey in place of the brown sugar. It adds just a nice hint of honey taste that I was looking for. Great recipe.

Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
This was wonderful! I had trouble filling a 9x13 pan so I used an 8x8. I used 4 whole Hershey bars instead of the semi sweet called for in the recipe which really put this over the top! I had to put it in the fridge to set up a bit. But I love this recipe and will make it again. I can't stay away from the pan! Thank you!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
I was surprised at how good this was!! I made a few changes. I mixed the corn syrup with honey for a little different flavor. Plus as after I poured the hot mixture into the cereal mixture I mixed in about a cup of chocholate chips. The chips melted a little and made the bars a little gooey, which I thought made them wonderful! I'll make a bigger match next time!
