I'm a stay at home mom, with three kids. I try to keep fit my doing yoga and pilates whenever I can. I'm an avid reader and loving get outside to play with the kids.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake! Any occasion is a reason to bake cookies. There are so many dessert recipes I'm itching to try, I just don't think I'll ever be able to make them all! For Christmas, I give friends and family a big tray of about 15-20 different kinds of cookies! I go a little crazy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Spanakopita and Baklava. I'm Greek and of course love Greek food. I'm trying to pick up on my moms way of cooking. She doesn't follow any recipes, they are all in her head, straight from the old country.
My cooking triumphs
Roasts and Turkey's. I get a little intimidated by big chunks of meat. Also, making Spanakopita with homemade dough (no phyllo in this pie). And Pie crusts!
My cooking tragedies
Malasian pizza. My husband will never let me live down that brown sticky mess

Gingerbread Biscotti
Loved this recipe! I was a little hesitant about using the oil, based on other reviews, but they turned out great! I only baked for 4 minutes per side for my second baking. The dough is very crumbly when you first lay it out on your baking sheet, but it does bake up nicely. I drizzled mine with white chocolate to which I added a few drops of lemon extract. Nice combo!

Cherry Pie III
This is such a great recipe! OMG!!! The crust came together quickly and beautifully, I just wasn't sure if there'd be enough dough for two crusts, but I did't have to worry. The filling was just sweet enough. I had rave reviews from my husband who called it "phenomenal" and said I HAD to make this again right away! Thanks for the recipe.

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks
I really like the flavor for the most part, but found it a bit too salty. Next time I'd reduce the beef bullion and not add any additional salt.
