About this Cook
At the beginning of 2006, it became one of my New Years Resolutions to learn to cook and eat better in general. Coming from a family that has plenty of of famous/infamous recipes and known-fors, it was intimidating at first, but now I've become a cooking fiend, and I love every minute of it. Thankfully, I think the cooking gene is in my blood.
My favorite things to cook
So far I've only cooked what could be considered vegetarian cuisine. But I have a current obsession with spinach, basil, artichokes, pine nuts, garlic, and olive oil. And cranberries too. I'll try something new soon. haha.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad is somewhat famous (with most people that know us) for his absolutely incredible white pizzas, and I finally learned how to make it in January of 2006. I'm proud to have somewhat inherited the ability to make up a batch of the best-tasting pizza I've ever had. Secret recipe though, so no asking... ;)
My cooking triumphs
Oh, certainly the ability to make my dad's pizza, but recently it's been the ability to substitute ingredients and create new recipes from scratch using unconventional ingredients. I'm so inspired now! A new creative outlet!

Erin's Indonesian Chicken
Delicious! Everyone in my home loved it! Even my dad who doesn't usually have a palate for foreign food! Thanks!

Banana Chip Muffins II
Great recipe! They didn't last long because everyone wanted them for breakfast. I substituted the chocolate chips with raisins. Yum! It was so nice to not add a lot of fat...

Baked Zucchini Chips
These are so great, and very addictive. I prefer to substitute egg whites for milk though. Excellent for zucchini lovers. :)
