Good recipe but do not use powder ginger. Always use fresh for the best taste.

Jemput Jumput (Banana Fritters)

My dad makes this all the time but he doesn't mash the bananas with sugar, just slices them into the batter. They are great snacks to munch on!

Very yummy! I always tweak a recipe so I added a little bit of french fried onions because I love that onion taste. Very tasty.

Very delicious warm and cold. Just cut down the sugar as others have suggested and it was excellent!

Pretty good but suggest "sweating" a large onion over an open fire and add to pot

Missing important star anise. Soup can't exist without it.

Like others, I used some semi-sweet and some bittersweet but substituted the water with Chambord. Yummy!

Not to fray from this recipe, but it tastes really good if you add a tbl of brown sugar and minced ginger. Awesome!

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Excellent dip! Great change from the spinach dip that everyone brings. I also suggest serving with sliced baguette (and double the recipe because it goes fast!!).

Luscious Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
The recipe is very simple but it tastes like it came from a can (because of canned ingredients). I'll take the time to chop fresh vegetables and make the sauce myself.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2004
I don't think this cake is a real "time saver" - takes just as much or more time than an original tiramisu recipe. Ladyfingers are much better to use.
