If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! I've been using this recipe for a couple of years now, starting with my very first "Grown up" Thanksgiving that I hosted for friends while living a few provinces away from any family. LOVED it. It was a huge hit, and I continue to make it for every holiday. Even my mother in law, who is intensely picky, loves it!

Spanish Rice II

A great side dish, or addition to burritos, I recommend substituting everything fresh that you can when possible (tomatoes and peppers specifically), it really adds to the taste!

Beef Samosas

A LOT of work, but worth it for sure. It wound up making far more than I expected, and even with freezing some still found their way to the compost. If you're doing it for the first time, I suggest cutting the recipe in half.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

This is one of the best soups I've ever had the pleasure of making- didn't use the preseasoned mix for the rice, but rather a really nice Wild Rice combo found in the health food aisle at the grocery store, and then just some dried spices from my spice rack. A great way to use up leftover chicken from a roasted whole chicken for sure!

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Amazing recipe! My husband's family is Greek, and he couldn't believe how great it was. A decent shortcut is to buy the premade Tzatziki(sp?) sauce, and I agree 100% with the reviewer about buying good quality pitas- this can really make or break this amazing recipe!

Tasty Lentil Tacos

My "meat and potatoes" husband couldn't believe these were so good! I make these now at least once a month, and am experimenting with turning them into Burritos as recommended by some other reviewers. Fantastic recipe!

Spinach Cheese Tortellini

Good recipe! I used Herb and Garlic cream cheese as a shortcut, and it worked out nicely. The tomatoes were a nice, surprising addition and I recommend keeping them!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Didn't have tomato paste on hand, and it was still awesome! I used the uncooked easy-peel shrimp that comes in a resealable bag, and dumped the marinade right in there, resealed it, and threw it in the fridge! Couldn't have been easier! Will make again for sure!

Barbecue Ribs

Read some of the other reviews about boiling the ribs instead of roasting them in the oven, but decided to stick with the recipe just to be able to compare. Will definitely boil next time. Sauce was amazing! Substituted Whiskey for the run (didn't have any in the house) and it still tasted great!
