Cinnamon Sugar Butter Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I also agree with other viewers that this recipe was a little bland without the sugar-cinnamon topping. Also, I found it difficult to roll without freezing first.

Aloo Phujia

Exceptionally good! I doubled all of the spices except for cayenne and it was still pretty spicy. I also added some cauliflower with the potatoes and it just came out delicious! My husband was so very impressed!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2008
I used turbinado sugar as a substitute and reduced down to 1/2 C butter without shortening. I also used other members reviews and added 1/2 tsp more cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 tsp ground ginger. I dropped the bake time down to 8 minutes and I added 1/2 C more oats. The cookies turned out beautifully and tasted very delicious!

Gingerbread Cookies I

I used the user's comment and added more cinnamon and substituted 1/2 of the molasses for maple syrup as well as more flour. I also put the dough into the fridge for several hours before baking. It turned out very delicious!

B and L's Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I used AMZY's suggestions (except that I substituted about 2 tsp of honey--and I think that it would be great even without the added sugar) and it turned out absolutely fabulous!

Sesame Seared Tuna

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
I didn't have mirin on hand and used a little bit more honey instead. I also didn't put the sesame seeds on until the end and turned down the heat while searing the tuna. It turned out fabulous!

American Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
As another reviewer has stated, this recipe is one definately where anything goes. I didn't have a can of condensed soup on hand, so I added some carrots to the mix and heated it with the meat, celery and onion. Also, I am a big fan of garlic, so I added three minced cloves in as well. After heating, I added 3/4 C of garlic spaghetti sauce, a can of green beans and a can of peas. I didn't have dried thyme, so I substituted ground thyme. Finally, I added salt to bring out the flavors.
