About this Cook
I'm from Wisconsin, currently living the military life in AL until Summer of 2011. Then we will be moving to Alabama for 1 year. Then who knows where we will end up next. I love to cook and try new recipes out on my husband. We have 11 month old twin boys that take up alot of my time now. So I am not as creative with my meals as I used to be.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. My husband and I like to eat healthy. But when we do indulge we both love chocolate. I love seafood and italian.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember baking/decorating cookies with my mom when I was little. I look forward to doing that with my boys when they are a little bit older.
My cooking triumphs
Only real triumph has been the Bourbon glazed salmon.
My cooking tragedies
My Mother-in-law used to make chicken ala king for my husband, so I gave it a try and it was horrible. He ate it and said he liked it, but I thought it was disgusting.

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin
This recipe is AWESOME! So buttery and yummy. We only had 1/4 c soy when we made this, so modified by using an additional 1/4c teriyaki and 1/4 c worcestershire sauce. BRILLIANT!

Garlic Cheddar Chicken
Great, easy recipe. My husband liked it alot. I did cut back on the butter though. Substituded for EVOO instead.l Worked out great. Will surely make it again.

Maple Salmon
This was a very easy recipe for a quick...I just got home what can I make for dinner?? If you have salmon on hand of course. The syrup was not too overpowering. Just PLEASE make sure you use REAL maple syrup. You will not get the same taste with an imitation.
