I used sourdough bread and velveeta for cheese and they turned out wonderfully! I received many rave reviews as well.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
AMAZING! I may have made my dough balls too big because some of them didn't get covered with the batter while baking, but that was my own fault. Even if that happens to you, just use the icing to cover the caved in part on top. Most of them turned out fine and I had tons of rave reviews and requests for more. Will definitely be making again! Thanks so much for this recipe! :)

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
These were a little lacking in flavor but I think that is common with turkey burgers. Next time I will try to add more herbs into the mixture to see if that helps. Would make again!

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
This recipe was great but definitely needed a few modifications on timing! Also, make sure you have time to stir it every 45 min-1 hour (or more frequently) so it doesn't burn! Here is how I made it and it turned out well... probably a little rich so next time I will use only regular milk and no evaporated milk but that's a personal preference. Anyway, I used: 12 oz evaporated milk (can) with 1/4 cup skim milk since the can didn't come in a 16 oz size, 2 tsp salt (could've used a dash of pepper), 1 egg beaten, 2 tbsp butter, 1 block velveeta cheezse (32 oz), and just over 1/2 pound of elbow macaroni (~10 oz). I cooked the liquid ingredients for 1 hour stirring part of the way through. I then added uncooked macaroni at 1 hour and then only needed 2 hours to cook it...any longer and it would've burned/dried out. I would've probably been fine with 1.5 hours to keep it a little creamier but that's ok. I wasn't sure if the noodles would be softened by then. If you want a creamier variation, I would boil the noodles for 3-4 minutes and then only cook it for 1-1.5 hours after adding the noodles to the sauce. It turned out well! But like I said, it was a little rich so next time I will use only skim milk and no evaporated milk. Enjoy!

Mushroom Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
This was ok. Felt like it lacked flavor or something. If I were to make again, I would use Italian bread crumbs (possibly mixed with parmesean) instead of flour, add capers, use real lemon juice (squeezed from actual lemon), and use a chicken bouilian cube mixed in water. As of right now, I would not make this recipe again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
Great tasting lasagna! I loved how it was thick and not runny. Some of the best I've had. I made a couple changes by adding portabella mushrooms, a little more sausage, used mozarella instead of ricotta, and used pasta sauce instead of tomato chunks. Otherwise, it was amazing! Also, next time I would omit the addition of salt because I thought it was a little salty; another guest thought so too. Very delicious though and will definitely make again!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
AMAZING! I was able to make 15 cinnamon rolls and all but 3 were eaten the morning I cooked them. I prepared the dough the night before to save myself from waking up an hour before I needed to and then made the rolls (very easy to do) the next morning. I was told I should change my major and become a chef! Great recipe and very easy to do. Will definitely do again soon!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
FAVORITE recipe of all time! Although it's messy and takes awhile to make, I do love making these because they are excellent and better than restaurant style! I stuff them with my hands because I'm not sure it's possible to stuff with utensils and not break the noodles. Would not change a single thing about this recipe!!

Recipe ended up kind of runny. Didn't really like the flavor or style of the chicken salad. Will probably never use this recipe again.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
The dough was terribly sticky and I had to use a lot of flour to be able to cut out designs. The taste of the cookie was as good as this style of cookie can get. I've never loved the cut out with icing cookies that much but these were soft and tasted fine. I will most likely use this recipe again next year at Christmas!

Seafood Fettuccine

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2006
This was ok. I used cornstarch to help thicken the sauce but it still seemed to sink to the bottom. I also fried portabella mushrooms to add flavor but the sauce was still pretty bland. Hopefully next time I can find a way to add some more flavor to the sauce. It is always worth another shot!!

Fruit Pizza I

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
FABULOUS!! VERY YUMMY!! I think making your own dough is actually better and it doesn't take more than 2 minutes to mix!! I had more compliments on the homemade dough than the pre-made dough... probably because I could tell everyone I made it from scratch but eitherway!! It's fantastic and I think everyone will love it!!
