Jambalaya With Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2006
A good Jambalaya starting recipe, I used shrimp and sausage for the meats. Person I cooked for had never had Jambalaya and loved it, I enjoyed it as well and will make it again. Happy Fat Tuesday!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
Likely the best chops I've ever eaten, very moist and with a slight sweet taste. I used a red wine vinegar instead of white. Doubt it made any difference but it's what I had on hand.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
An easy yummy and quick meal. I used cream of mushroom soup instead of the celery. Next time I will add more cheese. Family enjoyed it as is.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2006
A good basic recipe that satisfies most cheesecake lovers. I used a larger sized cup and baked them a bit longer. I used a food processor to crumb the vanilla wafers, only half a box is really needed as I had plenty left over.

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I followed this recipe closely except I sprinkled the cheese over each serving on the plate. I feel this made an appealing look as well as allowed you to taste the cheese better. This is a great recipe and plan to make it often.

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
I did the melting in a pyrex bowl and in the microwave. This chow is VERY addictive and you will want to eat and eat, and eat. Make sure the bag you use to do the mixing is hole free ( experience speaking here ) A great recipe, treat.

Pizza Crust I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
A very nice crust and remained soft and chewy while slightly crisp on the nicelt browned exposed edge. Next time I may add some herbs to the mix to add a bit more taste. Easy to make if you have a bread machine, the ingrediant list is right on!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
Easy to make. I doubled the soup and I used both cheddar and monterey jack cheeses. Also sprayed the baking dish well with PAM. This was very good tasting and everyone liked it. Freezes well for saving some of those leftovers.

Pasta with Kielbasa and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
I'm not a big fan of sauerkraut but I decided to make this for the better half. I loved it! The combonation of pasta and kielbasa tone down the kraut which can overwhelm some recipes. I think next time I'll add more parsley and perhaps more garlic.

Wonderful Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
I went with a full cup or rice and added sale and pepper. The rice adds a wonderful texture and taste, first meatloaf I've made that doesn't use an egg. Very tasty.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese III

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
I added a full can of the evaporated milk and added a healthy slab of Velveeta after reading other reviews of this recipe. On it's own it's a good recipe, with a bit of tweaking it's a very good recipe.

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
the taste was ok but was not happy with size/shape of the "bowls" Next time I may use the dough and mold around a oven safe pyrex bowl or something.

Baked Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2006
an easy to make recipe. While making a quick taste test ( or two ) told me it needed "something" so I added salt, pepper, some garlic. Served with bacon bits and shredded cheddar cheese. A great soup to beat those winter blahs.

T's Easy Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2006
Nice change from the common chicken&cheese or chicken&cream of soup recipes. I think the diced maters cook down and make the broth a lil more watery than desired but I strained some of it off. Taste was light, chicken tender. Is Good recipe for us as the Mrs can't have garlic, she enjoyed it also. Easy to fix.
