Slow Cooker Oats

I found it to be a bit mushier than I like. Perhaps if I reduce the water? To prevent sticking and ease washing up, I sprayed the slow cooker bowl with pam. A tip that I found from another recipe.

My husband made this for Christmas morning brunch and it was delicious! Our family raved and had seconds. Whew. He did end up baking the quiche for an hour and ten minutes, but it was worth waiting for. Used aged cheddar cheese because we didn't have Swiss cheese.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

I used this recipe for my first attempt at rolled sugar cookies and they turned out beautifully. Things I did based on reviewers' feedback: - added another tsp of vanilla - chilled for 2+ hours - only worked with a 1/4 of the dough at a time, so it didn't get too warm and sticky - watched them bake and took them out when he edges started to turn brown. (slightly undercooked didn't taste as good at the ones more baked) Will be making this again. Thanks! -Jen
