Blueberry Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
These muffins were sooooooooo good - so tender and moist. I will add more sugar next time, but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
I loved these muffins - made exactly like the recipe, except used plain yogurt instead of flavored....was a bit worried that they might not be sweet enough, but they were perfect for me (sprinkled some granulated sugar on the top for the kids!). The best part was how they looked - the muffin tops were perfect and did not cave in (unlike the experience of another reviewer). Next time I might add a bit more vanilla, and a pinch of salt for that extra flavor. Thanks, Sue, for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Michael's Foccacia Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
LOVED this recipe! I have been looking for a good foccacia recipe for a while, and this was it! I used less salt, as suggested by other reviewers. I also brushed some olive oil over the bread after baking it. Eaten fresh out of the oven= HEAVEN!!!!Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Spicy Mixed Nuts

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
Excellent Recipe - thanks for sharing. I used raw, unsalted mixed nuts, and hence added a pinch of salt to the spice mixture. You kick the spices up a notch by adding a dash of cayenne. Finally, I saved a tbsp. of sugar and dusted on the nuts after they were done, but still warm - very pretty effect.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
Very tasty crispy crust. I added just a tad of shortening (couple of teaspoons) to the upper crust, instead of the extra butter that one reviewer recommended. Made it nice and flaky, and not chewy at all. Also used plastic wrap both under and above, to roll out crust - made it super easy to work with. Thanks for the delicious recipe.

Vegan Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
Very good - very forgiving/flexible, too. I subbed cubed potatoes for squash - delicious. Used garam masala/cilantro powder/cumin powder, and some turmeric powder. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks!

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
I modified the presentation to use mini muffin trays - a little more work because I had to crush the nilla wafers, and mix with a bit of butter, and bake, pressed in the mini-muffin trays, for 5 minutes before adding the cream cheese mixture - but boy, was it worth it! I got these absolutely divine looking micro-mini cheesecakes, that were the perfect pop-in-the-mouth sizes. They disappeared sooner than I could make them. Will make again and again! Thanks for the recipe!

Bonnie's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
Did not like this as a fruit dip - too dense and creamy - worked out much better as a bagel spread. I had to toss it out, because my guests did not eat it again after one try :-(

Cheesy Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
This was very good - but I think the garlic that I added went a long way in adding flavor. I gave it 4 stars because my 11-year-old did not like it much, but my other two younger children loved it.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Wonderful recipe. I suggest swirling the brown sugar butter mixture over the crackers crust, rather than spreading it with a spatula. This will keep them nice and separate.
